My target audience for this facility is non-athlete college students.

I put a sperate space for a

yoga/Pilates studio because it is much more relaxing to not be worried about people lifting weights
around you. It can also be used for a stretching/mobility room. That room is carpeted so those activities
are more comfortable. I kept the entry to this area as a big archway to make the room appear bigger
rather than a closed off door. I put multiple windows in the room to make it feel like a bigger space. I put
the cabinet in that room because the stuff in the cabinet feels more secure if it's not out in the open for
everyone to see. I put windows in front of the cardio machines because it gives the people something to
look at besides a wall and I have mirrors on the weights side of the room because people like to check
their form and the mirrors will reflect the light coming in from the windows. I have the weight rack in
the middle of the room so that both sides can access them without disturbing the other side of the
room. I have a big main entrance to the gym and a smaller emergency exit by the multipurpose weight
machines. The desk for the employees is next to the main entrance because it is easier to greet people
that walk in and make them feel welcome. I also have the water station next to the main entrance and
the cardio machines because typically people end their workouts with cardio so they can grab water on
their way out, or it's right there for when they enter the room. I think that the equipment in this room is
suitable for college-aged people because there is a pretty wide variety of exercises that you are able to
do. From weights to cardio to yoga etc.
