1. Look at the walls of the classroom. What are posted on the walls? What
heroes, religious figures, lessons, visual aids, announcements, do you see
posted?

teacher’s table located? How are the tables and chairs

1. In front on the top there is a statement “ St. Nicholas pray for us”, a DLP,
letters of the alphabet with a guide on how to pronounce it properly. A
blackboard in front located at the center, on the left side of the blackboard it
was written who are noisy and those who are standing. On the right side of
the blackboard are the announcement of scores and what to bring tomorrow “
P1-90, P2-97, P3-94. Bring tomorrow, September 7, 2023 (short bond paper,
pencil, eraser, and crayons in MAPEH.” On the left corner is the alter and
Mama Mary together with an indoor plant. On the right corner is the school’s
vision, mission, motto, objectives and objectives of the Integrated Basic
Education Department (IBED). Under the blackboard is the core values of the
school. Along with the letters and schedules, and the class passes when the
student are going out during classes. On the right side above the windows are
the quotation one is from Abraham Lincoln “Whatever you are, be a good one”
“Let your dreams be bigger than your fears” the author of this is wasn't cited.
At the back is the fire exit map, classroom rules, the bulletin board, the
crucifix, the cleaners and the words “ALL THROUGH JESUS, THROUGH
MARY.”
2. The teachers table is located in front right side and the arm chairs are
arranged by three each row they are group 1-3.
3. The learning materials/equipment are the alphabetical letters, DLP, PC,
speaker and teachers desk.
4. Their are 36 students in one room.
5. Yes, because it has 8 lights and 5 ceiling fans. The window is wide that
the air can come in easily and the color of the curtain is neutral it is not to
bright.
ANALYZE
How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact the
learning of the students going to school? What are your conclusions?
The school campus and the classroom has a big impact into the students
learning let’s just say for example if the classroom is so hot the students
cannot focused into the lesson of the teacher. That is why it is very important
to consider the learning environment of the students.
REFLECT
1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed?
Why? Why not?
Yes, I would like teach in NDMU IBED because the students are following the
rules and regulations just like there are not allowed to use their cellphones I
don't see any student who is using cellphone, every recess and lunch time
they are not to stay inside of the classroom and they follow it also. Aside from
that the school, has it's own computer in every classroom and a WiFi
connection that is why is it hassle free to the side of the teachers it won’t also
consume time.
2. What kind of school campus is conducive to learning?
The school has a prayer room for Catholics and a designated place for the
Islam and Non Catholics. Though it is a catholic school they also value other
religions or sects. There is also a designated place for the parents and the
yaya’s of the students.
3. What kind of classroom is conducive to learning?
There is an exchanged of ideas between the teachers and the students all
those who are raising their hands, the teacher lets them speak and when a
student could not understand the instructions the teachers repeat it until the
students can understand it.
4. In the future, how can you accomplish your answer in number 3?
I could accomplish this by having a long patience into my students especially
if I will be teaching elementary students. I will be hands on into my students
enable for them to understand the lessons and instructions properly. I will
used different techniques and strategies that I have observed and learn during
the classroom observation.
5. Write your additional learnings and insights here.
If the students is disciple from kindergarten and from the first day of school
they will bring it for the rest. Because I have observed that the students are
not using their cellphones. I also learned to use music enable for the students
to easily learn and memorize the books of the Bible.

I saw 4 board displays.
2. Where are the displays boards found? Are they in places where target
viewers can see them?
The two board displays are located at the corridor stairs where the students
can saw it when they go up or go down the stairs. The other one is located at
the lobby where the students, parents and etc. can saw it when they enter the
campus. The last one is located in front of the CMRE Office at the hallway
where the students can saw it when they passed by.
3. What are the displays about? What key massages do they convey? What
images and colors do you see? How are the pieces of information and images
arranged?
The message is all about welcoming the Marista’s back to school. The
message is all about welcoming home the students. The colors are; black,
red, yellow, orange, violet, red, pink, blue and green. Next is the display is all
about books, welcoming the elementary to the library. The colors are; black ,
green, yellow
brown, pink, blue, white and orange. I way a book holding by a person.
Another is all about the events and activities of the CMRE Office. The
message is to inform the students of teachers about the upcoming, activities
of the office. The colors are; black, green, blue, pink, orange, red and violet.
The last display is all about the climate justice. It conveys the audience to act
as a stewards of creation to save planet earth. The colors are: red, yellow,
orange, green, violet, blue, and black. There's a hand planting a tree, Pope
Francis, mountain, factory and children who are studying.
4. What materials were used in making the displays?. Are borders used?
The materials that have been used are; cartolina, crayons, marker, glue,
pencil bond paper, an oil pastel, newspaper & tarpaulin illustration board.
5. Do you noticed some errors? (misspelled words, grammar inconsistencies
and the like?
I don’t find any errors.
6. Are the messages clear and easily understood?
Yes, the messages are clear and easily understood.
7. Think about what got your attention. Why did it get your attention?
The one that got my attention is the quotation " There is no friend loyal as
book. " It really caught my attention because in a second I remember my
friends are they really loyal?

- Yes, because it has a different colors of butterfly designs that can attract
students, since they like colorful designs.

- Yes it is simple and clear because they only used basic english. It was
understandable for the target audience.
REFLECT
1. Name at least five skills that a teacher should have to be able to come up
with effective board displays. Elaborate on why each skill is needed.
Creativity- it is important that the teacher is creative when it comes to the
board display so that it can help to attract students attention and read
what is being written in the board display.
Resourceful- a teacher must be resourceful so that the board display
won't be costly.
Grammar skill— it is important that the grammars are all correct when a
teacher has a grammar skills so that it won't confuse the students.
Critical thinking- a teacher should have critical thinking skills enable for
him/her to evaluate the board display that he/she is going to post.
Time management- a teacher should have a time management because it
is not just all about the board display, a teacher has a lesson to prepare
that is why time management in making a board display is important.

experiences in making board displays. How do you practice this skills?
Already already have the time management where in I always practice it
everyday 4:00 AM I am preparing for my breakfast and 5:00 AM I will take a
bath so that I won't be late in my FS1.
3. Which skills do you still need to develop? What concrete steps will you
take on how you can improve on or acquire this skills.
I need to develop my creative side because I am not that creative. The first
step that I should to is to watch tutorials and to follow it to practice this skills. I
will use canva to create some powerpoint presentations, portfolios and
layouts.
