Name of The School Observed; Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School
Location of the School; Along Dumlao Boulevard and Mabini St.
Date to Visit; October 20, 2021
I observed that some areas of the school are kept up and clean as I walked around the campus.
Every classroom is welcoming and pleasant for learning, and they greatly aid in energizing students during
the learning process. The school's surroundings and ambiance are quite appealing because the colors of
the buildings are quite calm in eyes, and other teachers and students are very welcoming. The gate is well
guarded so no one can easily enter unless you have an important thing to do inside. Students can't easily
go outside if it is not time for them to go outside. The various offices and rooms left an impression on me.
Additionally, they have a garden that demonstrates the importance of the environment on campus on a
healthy lifestyle by growing medicinal plants, as well as for aesthetic purposes. The rooms are generally
clean and odor-free, although I do notice some that are not (boy’s Comfort room). Overall, the school
offers a pleasant learning environment, however there are some areas that may be improved.
ANALYZE
How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact the learning of the students going to school?
School campus and classroom policies are implemented for the students' good learning environment, and
as I observe, students are diligent and courteous in following every policy that the campus has with the
help of their teachers.
How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development/ how does this relate to your
knowledge of facilitating learning?
As the students grow up, we must fill their minds and thoughts with beautiful and good things. Because as
children, they must be guided carefully, because as they grow, their minds are on processing and
exploring things, so as future teachers, we will be the ones who help parents guide and teach their
children good things as they grow up.
REFLECT
1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observe? Why? Why not?
Yes, I would like to teach in this school because, as I observe, it is challenging and enjoyable at the same
time, and that’s the part that I want to experience when I teach in this school.
As you look around and examine board displays, use observation guide and forms provided for you to
document your observations.
2. Where are the display boards found? Are they in places where target viewers can see them?
3. What are the displays about? What key messages do they convey? What images and colors do you see?
How are the pieces of information and images arranged?
4. What materials were used in making the displays? Are boarders used?
5. Do you notice some errors? (misspelled words, grammar inconsistencies and the like)
7. Think about what got your attention. Why did it get your attention?
8. Take photos of the display boards (if allowed).
OBSERVATION REPORT
There are many boards displays to be seen as I make my way to the school's campus. I observed
two or more displays in a variety of offices, including those in the LRC offices, the Sped Center, as well as
those by the main gate and the principal's office. When you look at where these board displays were
placed, you can see that they were placed exactly where students could see them. The descriptions of
each board display I observed outside the mentioned offices are given below.
LRC offices - The LRC offices have a few boards that are constructed of cardboard and wood. It
communicates health- and safety-related information that both students and teachers should be aware of,
such as safety regulations, crucial reminders, and helpful advice, the school's vision and mission, as well
as memos, teacher schedules, and birthdays. To highlight the message, it is made in a creative style with
bigger text and unique fonts that Students and visitors may easily understand the message it is trying to
portray.
Front of the Principal’s Office - bulletin boards are presented along the entrance of the principal’s office.
The bulletin board is made out of metal framing, wood background and covered with fiber glass slides. As
of the design, the background is colored with peacock green, and flower designs on the corners. The
display is divided into 4 parts: in the right corner - Leadership and Governance, K-12 curriculum and
learning, Accountability and Continuous Improvement, and Management of Resources; and in the left side
- DepEd Mission, vision, and Core Values, NVGHS Organizational Structure, and other announcements.
Sped center - The board display on the SPED corner is designed in simple form, with only the welcome
signature and the DepEd Mission, Vision, and Core Values, and the Class schedule. It is made out of
wood and posted on the wall. Covered in green paint and designed with cutout flowers.
Main Gate- As you enter the main gate, the board displayed on the left side is more creative and very
catchy in the eyes of the students and visitors compared to the board displayed in the principal’s office. As
I observe, they have a board displayed in the waiting area near the main gate. It is made out of a metal
frame and well decorated with flowers and different fonts of words on it. Inside are the FPRA bulletin
board, some memos, some sayings, an emergency board, etc. The other board display is in the washing
area, still close to the main gate. It is made out of long metal frames and well divided into different
department boards that display: SHS department, Filipino department, English department, etc., as well as
a map of the school grounds.
In conclusion, the school makes use of board displays to clearly teach both students and visitors
about the information they need to know. Due to the increased attention that what is displayed on the walls
receives from students and visitors, these boards made it simpler to deliver information. These boards
should be creatively laid out in order to visually interest students while they absorb the important
information they are trying to convey.
From among the board displays that you saw, pick the one that you got the most interested in. Evaluate
it using the evaluation below.
Brief Description of the Bulletin Broad: Bulletin boards are presented along the entrance of the
principal’s office. The bulletin board is made out of metal framing, wood background and covered with fiber

corners. The display is divided into 4 parts: in the right corner - Leadership and Governance, K-12

- The board display's goals are to keep students informed of new information or memos, inspire them to
work hard, and include them in upcoming projects or other school events.
2. Did the board display design reflect the like/ interests of its target audience? Why? Why not?
- I believe that the concept of the board as a whole represents the interest of its target audience, which
includes both visitors and students. The board display is constructed in a unique fashion and has an artistic
design that board displays must have; it should be eye catching, and this is what this board display's have, in
order to capture the interest of the intended audience.
3. Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience to understand?
- English is the used language. It marks the information or materials using straightforward language.
posted. Additionally, the font sizes are readable from a short distance.
- The informational part of the board display is effective. It effectively communicates the information,
and in terms of motivation, it satisfies the requirements for a display on a motivating board. Because of the
visuals and recorded activities of the school that displayed , there is interaction and appeal, both of which are
crucial for capturing an audience's attention.
Rationale: (Purpose)
The Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School (NVGCHS) has a large student
population from junior high and senior high schools. Dissemination of information can be challenging,
especially when several departments or levels of the intended audience are involved. It is much simpler,
though, to make announcements and post papers on a board. Board displays can provide convenience,
efficiency, and engagement. Additionally, it ensures that a big audience will receive all of the information.
The goal of the enhanced board display for leadership and governance is to make the current board display
simpler but better in terms of its design, layout, and informational organization in order to appeal to and
persuade a wider audience.
Objectives:
The following are the main objectives of the proposed board display:
To improve the existing board display of the Leadership and governance board.
To change the design/lay-out of the existing board display
To add more creative elements on the board display to make it simpler and eye catching to the
audience.

Based on your suggestions, purpose an enhanced version of the display board. Used the form below.
1. Name at least five skills that a teacher should have to be able to come up with the effective board displays.
Elaborate on why each skills is needed.
To be able to come up an effective board display a teacher should possess the following:
Creativity- He or she needs to be creative, upbeat, and have a broad perspective special concepts.
Innovative- innovation must be the teacher's top priority; while board displays are common, a teacher must
produce a board display that is unique, or at the very least, go above and beyond the standard
Resourceful- It is not a good idea to purchase new things; instead, a teacher should be able to make
creative use of what is already available. This will help to reduce waste.
Critical thinking- Since facts and evidence are crucial when developing a board display, critical thinking is
required. A teacher must be able to recognize needless information and comprehend the source of the
information.
Confident- the key to producing a work of art is to believe in and trust oneself, A teacher must appear to be
confident in their abilities since that will give them the attitude that success will be achieved as a result
2. Which of the skills you named in #1 do you already have? Recall your past experience in making board
displays. How do you practice these skills?
For me, being artistic in any project is one of my skill and talent. Creativity, Resourceful and being critical
thinker and confident are the best skills that a teacher must have and I’m proud to say that I have these
kind of skill. When I was in high school I join many contest like poster making contest, editorial cartooning
and slogan contest that help me boost and develop my skills in arts that is the reason also that’s why I
choose Bachelor of culture and arts education and with those activities in school and subjects, contest
make me develop my talent and skills.
3. Which skills do you still need to develop? What concrete steps will you take on how you can improve on or
acquire these skills?
I think, for me the skills that I want to develop more is being more confident. There is some time that I’m
lacking in confident special in doing arts in a live contest or doing arts in front of many people, and I think
the best way to conquered these is by believing on your self and believing on what you can do. Just join
and join more contest or do more art work for you to have development so that you will be confident in
facing pressure

efficient as they consistently produce quality graduates over the years in the school
environment. Being an effective education provider is a difficult responsibility, and a
school must be able to ensure that its graduates are successful in their employment. The
capacity of a school to guarantee ensure the curriculum is responsive to the pupils'
requirements, and that the facilities and resources are the requirements of the students

necessitates cooperation among the school, teachers, parents, students, and
