A. Objectives of Learning
After following the learning process, students are able to identify social functions, textual
structures, students are able to describe information at informal invitation by considering the correct social
function, the generic structure according to context, and students are able to make a informal letter by
paying attention to common format of informal invitation.
C. Learning Activities
a. Orientation
Open the class with greeting the students and praying to start learning and learning and then
checking the attendance class.
b. Apperception
Linking the topic that will be learn with the students’ experience and asking questions that related
to the lesson to be conveyed.
c. Motivation
Provide an overview of the goals and benefits of learning informal invitation in daily life of
students.
a. Literacy
In individuals, the students are given guidance to see, read and analyze the explanation about
informal invitation on video and text from the teacher. That is resulting in a process of scientific approach
(observing, asking, gather information, process information, and communicative).
b. Critical Thinking
Teacher provide opportunities for students to identify, ask questions they don’t understand, give
opinions, and conclude the material being discussed.
c. Collaboration
Students work together or ask for discuss to arrange the correct structure of formal invitation,
gather information and exchange information about formal invitation.
d. Communication
Students discuss to conclude and present the result of the discussion that has been done together
then responded by the teacher.
e. Creativity
Students ask questions about informal invitation that they not understood or teacher ask some
questions or exercise to the students based on the material.
3. Closing Activities
a. Students make summary with the teacher’s guidance related to the material about informal invitation.
