1. Opening with greetings and continued by reading a 5
prayer (orientation)
2. Linking the previous material with the material to be
studied and expected in relation to the experience of
students (appreciation)
3. Provide an overview of the benefits of studying the
lessons to be learned in everyday life (motivation)

answer questions. The teacher gives about five
minutes. Students’ answers are discussed
classically. Teachers can provide reinforcement

5. Students continue the activity by reading the text
and answering questions. Teachers can provide

 Students read a text about animal and plant
conservation “let’s preserve Indonesia’s rare
animals and plants”. The teacher gives about three
minutes to the students.
 Students then write down the main ideas from the
reading and discuss them with friends next door or
in groups. Each student listens to input and
corrects his writing. The teacher provides
reinforcement
 Based on the teacher’s reinforcement, students
then write conclusions from what they read and
discuss. Students are reminded to use standard
vocabulary.
