copolymer (PP-R), as specified in DIN 8078. It covers all available types of polypropylene pipes for all possible applications. Pipe shall
be classified in accordance with the pipe series and/or the nominal pressure as follows:
• Series 5; PN 10 (SDR 11)
• Series 3.2; PN 16 (SDR 7.4)
• Series 2.5; PN 20 (SDR 6)
The material pipes shall be made from polypropylene (PP) moulding material stabilized with suitable antioxidants.
The choice of stabilizers and other additives shall be left to the manufacturer. Moulding materials of unknown composition shall not
be used (see Appendix A of DIN 8078: Explanatory notes). All pipe and fittings shall be manufactured in the Philippines.
Installation shall comply with the latest installation instructions published or with supervision by Atlanta Industries,
Inc. and shall conform to all applicable plumbing and building code requirements. The installers must be trained by the manufacturer
including the welding properties on how to do the installation for PP-R pipes and fittings. The system shall be protected from chemical
agents not compatible with PP-R compounds. The system shall be tested after installation through normal or actual pressure test, stated
by the user or contractors for 24 hours as much as possible.
WARNING! Never test with or transport/store compressed air or gas in PP-R pipe and fittings. Doing so can result in explosive failures
and cause severe injury or death.

All faucets shall be commercial grade brass or stainless steel construction, washerless type, with seals and
seats combined in one replaceable ceramic disk valve cartridge designed to be interchangeable with all
lavatories, or having replaceable seals and seats removable either as a seat insert or as a part of a
replaceable valve unit. Faucets provided shall be of the same type and manufacturer throughout the
facility, unless otherwise noted.
Provide backflow preventers of types and at points within domestic water systems as specified by IPC.
Locate building backflow preventer inside the mechanical room on service entrance lines where not
provided exterior to the building. Provide reduced pressure principle type backflow preventer at all
make-up water lines inside the mechanical room and at all make-up water lines to systems containing
chemical treatment.
Provide domestic water booster system for domestic water distribution system.
All new sewers below concrete slab shall be solid core, minimum schedule 40 (DWV Type), ABS in
accordance with ASTM 2661. New waste and vent piping above floor shall be Schedule 40 PVC (DWV
Type) ASTM 2665 or ABS ASTM 2661. Use of ABS plastic pipe shall conform to the IBC and IPC.
Provide pipe sizing, configurations, and cleanouts as required by the IPC. Cellular core plastic pipe is not
allowed. SOVENT systems are not allowed.
Design and install rain gutters. The gutters shall be plumbed with enclosed pipe downspout and ties
into the building perimeter drain system.
Provide and install high-speed rotating and oscillating fan for each room), wall mounted fans with 3-step
speed fan switch in the building.
