Learning Outcome:

After completing this exercise, you shall be able to:

• Obtain a clear understanding of ‘Wh question words’ i.e. What, When, Where, etc. and how to use
them.
• Form questions by using ‘Wh words’ to acquire information related to multiple events, situations,
and persons to enhance their conversational skills.
• Improve your skills in arranging the words or parts of speech in a sentence in correct order to make
it appropriate and understandable.
• Construct interrogative sentences by using ‘Wh words’ and arranging the words and phrases in
sentences to make them grammatically right and logical.
Problem Statement
Complete the interrogative sentences by using the appropriate ‘WH’ question words.

Instructions: In Task 1, you are supposed to fill the blank spaces given in the sentences with ‘WH’ question words
to make question statements.

In Task 2, arrange the words/phrases in correct order to make each sentence meaningful and rewrite the sentence in
proper form according to the right sentence structure.

Task 1: Make Questions using “What”, “When”, “Where”, “Which” and “How”.
Read the sentences given below and choose the appropriate ‘Wh word’ given above in the task statement and write
in the space given in each sentence to complete the interrogative sentence.
