IV. Procedure
4.1 Introductory 1. Preliminary Activities
Activity Pray, checking of attendance, classroom rules

2. Warm up Activity
(15mins) The learners will be asked to take a personality quiz that will help
them discover their strength and weaknesses as a future employee.

They will be asked to compute their scores and the teacher will tell
their qualities based on their personality quiz score.

Objective # 3 Attitude
Discover one’s skills, uniqueness and interest that may encourage the
future employer to hire the learner.

Below are ten horizontal lines with four words on each line, one in each column. In
each line, put the number “4” next to the word that best describes you in that line; a “3”
next to the word that describes you next best; a “2” to the next best word, and a “1” by the
word that least describes you. On each horizontal line of words, you will then have one “4”,
one “3”, one “2”, and one “1”.

Indicator 7: Planned , managed and implemented developmentally sequences

Presentation of the Learning Objectives:


For the presentation of the Learning Objectives, the teacher will then ask
the learners to read the objectives according to their group.

Group 1 will read objective 1.


Group 2 will read objective 2.

Everyone will read objective 4.

4.2 Introduction
of the Lesson As an Introduction of the lesson , the learners will view a short clip

After watching the three-minute video, the learners will be asked the following
questions:

1. Have you ever tried composing your own professional correspondences?


If yes, what were your difficulties in writing it?

2. Why is important to stay formal in writing professional correspondences?

Indicator 3: Applied a range of teaching strategies to develop critical and creative


thinking, as well as other higher-order thinking skills.
4.3 Activity
Before the activity starts, the teacher will present to the learners the
different letter formats that they can use in writing an application letter. Each
25 minutes group will be tasked to create an application letter based on the letter formats
assigned to them.

Identify the parts of letter(business, application and cover letters).


Objective #1(knowledge)
Group 1
Full Block Format
This is the most common layout used in writing cover letter. In this format, all
parts are justified to the left.
Group 2
Modified Block Format
It is a type of format where applicant’s address, complementary close, signature
and sender’s identification is shifted to the right side. Note that the first sentence in
the body or in each paragraph is not indented.
Group 3
Semi-Block Format
The least used format is the semi block. It is almost the same as the modified block
format; however, the difference is that the first sentence in each paragraph is
indented.

After creating their application letter, two members of the group will be assigned to
present their work in front.
Objective #2 Skills
Write a cover letter aimed at a career interest applying the format and mechanics
and personalized resumé aimed at a career interest applying the format and
document designer aimed at a career interest applying the format and mechanics.

Indicator 4: Managed classroom structure to engage learners, individually or in
groups, in meaningful exploration, discovery and hands-on activities within a range
of physical learning environments.

After the presentation the teacher will ask the following questions for the
integration.:

1. Now that you have learned how to create your application letter and cover
letter, Do you find yourself ready to bravely apply for a job once you
graduate? Why?
2. After landing a job, how will you be able to contribute to the country’s
economy?

During the activity , the teacher will constructively apply discipline in the class
through positively correcting the learners’ misbehavior.

Indicator 5: Managed learner behavior constructively by applying positive and non-


violent discipline to ensure learning-focused environments.

4.4 Analysis
For Analysis, the learners will do a reflection about what they have learned for the
10minutes last three weeks about writing professional correspondences.

At least three to five sentences for each of the questions.

4.5 Abstraction

Enhance self-esteem through unleashing learner’s interests and talents that may

The teacher will share a Bible Verse about self-esteem and doing one’s best so that
the students will learn to value oneself and be able to bring their best all the time.
To put in mind that being genuine in writing application letter and cover letter is
the best way to encourage client to hire them in a company.

1. How much do you value yourself?


2. Are you grateful and contented of all the blessings and talents that God
gave you?
3. How do you use these talents for your benefit and for the welfare of other
people?

4.6 Application
25minutes Indicator 6- Used differentiated , developmentally appropriate learning experiences
to address learner’s gender, needs, strengths, interest and experiences.

1.6 Assessmen
t Through the use of kahoot.com the learners will do a pair-share
15minutes assessment about the lesson.

The learners will log in to kahoot.com and join the link flashed on the
screen.

t For the assignment, the learners will submit a proofread copy of their
5 minutes resume and application letter via Gmail.

The teacher’s email address will be flashed on the screen.
