On December 23, 2022, Indonesian musician Alfariizi is releasing a single titled
"HOLIDAY". Alfariizi crafted the track with Indonesian Musician, Basboi, trading verses
over the self-produced track. HOLIDAY is a part of Alfariizi’s planned 3 single run for the
first quarter of 2023.

About Alfariizi
Alfariizi is a 23 year old singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist hailing
from the chaotic, hectic, and busy city streets of South Jakarta in the island of Java,
Indonesia. Alfariizi has been independently releasing music since 2017, with his latest release
being a single titled “SAFE AND SOUND” released in the first quarter of 2022. With
influences ranging from the thunderous guitar riffs and ear-soothing vocals of Mac Demarco
and The Strokes, the subtle yet brutally idealistic lyrics of bands like IDLES, and the head
bop inducing beats and rhymes of J.Cole and MF DOOM, he is striving to create a
discography that captures the sounds of youth that fits into both the digital and conventional
realms of music listeners. Jakk Breedon from the a1234 music blog stated that Alfariizi “has
potential to be Indonesia’s next big heart throb” but his goals is set to be bigger than his home
country proven by the tattoo on his thigh reading “NO SLEEP TILL L.A.” in huge capital
letters.

About HOLIDAY
This single was originally commissioned by a Hotel in bandung, but when Alfariizi
finished the initial draft, he felt like he made something that was way WAY more than that.
Alfariizi then sets out to work with NETRA.LIVE, which is the Indonesian made music
revolution hat enables people to co-own their favorite songs and get streaming revenue by
holding a percentage of their song, A percentage of the proceeds gained from NETRA.LIVE
will be donated to Panti Asuhan Tambatan Hati, which is an orphanage housing 50-60
underprivileged kids without homes.
Alfariizi, with the help of trailblazing Indonesian musician Basboi traded verses about
what the holidays embody, how the chaotic but monotone nature of a life in the city Jakarta
Business Districts demands people to constantly move and work, and through this song, they
hope to represent their daydreams, hopes and plans for the best time of the year, the holidays,
especially with the ones they love the most.
“Biar kita pergi hilang di ujung dunia, kepala pun sakit betul perkara dunia. Where you
wanna go? you can put the tab on me ya, working like a dog but still can't beli hunian..” –
this excerpt from the second verse perfectly embodies the statement Alfariizi and Basboi is
trying to portray through this song.
