Lilu is an educator, an entrepreneur, and a Chamber advocate. But her enduring

passion is service work in Rotary.

Lilu has been teaching since 1983 at her alma mater, St. Theresa’s College-Cebu where
she graduated with a degree in Mass Communication. A teacher by heart, she believes
in teaching to love learning. She is presently a board member of the STC Foundation.

She has over 35 years of experience in Marketing Communication and is presently the
managing director of Lilu Advertising and Marketing Solutions. Inc.

Lilu has served the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry as Vice-President and
Trustee, the Philippine Marketing Association as Past President, Philippine Retailers
Association as convenor for Outstanding Filipino Retailer-Cebu, and Cebu International
Film Festival as Past President and current Board Member.

Lilu is a proud member of Rotary Club of Cebu Gloria Maris since 2004. She was
awarded as the most outstanding President of District 3860 in RY2008-2009. She has
served Rotary International as Assistant Public Image Chair in 2013-2015 for Zone 7A
covering the Philippines and Indonesia. Lilu has served District 3860 in different
positions since 2007 as Public Image Chair for 3 years, under her leadership, District
3860 was presented the Outstanding Achievement Award on Public Relations at the
Rotary Institute in Bangkok in 2010.

She served as District Governor’s Representative to the Philippine Rotary Magazine for
3 years. She also served as Chair for Global Rewards, Deputy District Governor for
Programs, PETS-SETS Chair, District Awards Chair, District Trainer, District Secretary,
and District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair for RY2019-2022. She serves as
District Governor for RY2022-2023.

Her touchstone is her family: husband Dongie, a businessman, and daughters, Marie
Genevieve, a nurse in Australia and Marie Noelle, a writer and educator in Manila.
