Lisa was disappointed when Linton stated in their conversation on her first day at House World that "MBAs
behave like they know a lot more than they do. Your formal education won't help you; the only way to learn is
on the job. I don't like Harvard MBAs; I've known some of them.
Instance 2
Lisa was dissatisfied by several interactions with Scoville on the first day. He first stated during lunch that he is
not impressed with MBAs, particularly those from Harvard, and even in the evening he gave mundane labour of
copying reports. Lisa wasn't a fan. He spoke to her in a condescending manner, giving off the impression of a
domineering big brother.

where he has come across as a decent and warm person.

PART B

1) Since Scoville has high level of Openness, Lisa can share her feedback with him and inconsideration can
improve relationship with him.

2) Scoville has a high level of neuroticism. Lisa can help him reduce and, we know from the incident that Scoville
is always open to Lisa’s feedback and even feels free to share his issues with her. For instance, the one where he
admits his frustration with organization and the fact, he hadn’t been promoted yet led to him yelling on Lisa in
floor. This can also help Lisa to improve her relationship with Scoville.

Linton failed to recognize the core strengths of Lisa during her performance evaluation.

A) Lisa should speak out her opinions. She needs to express her thoughts let it be and official meeting or
performance evaluation. Giving feedbacks to Linton might help her understand her strengths and
issues she is facing.
B) Also, Lisa should try more to be herself and try portraying her strengths to Linton. This will allow her to
get recognition from Benton and strengthen relationship with Linton and gives her chance to work
on future projects with Linton.

Write your answer here - Linton wanted to inform Lisa of her traits that she needs to work on. She could have
done it in 2 Different ways:
1) She could have used 3-2-1 Technique where she first pointed out things that she liked in Lisa’s Performance,
2 areas that needs to be improved and finishing by highlighting one thing that she liked the most with Lisa’s
performance. This will keep Lisa away from getting demotivated after Performance review.
2) Also, Linton could have used the ‘I like, I wish, I wonder’ Technique which will help Linton to convey positive
aspects of Lisa, convey aspects of Lisa’s performance that should be changed or improved and at last she could have even
conveyed suggestions for improvement. This would have led to Lisa getting a clear Idea on what areas she needs to
work on and what she can do to improve in those areas by following ideas shared by Linton.

1) Linton should have encouraged Lisa to speak her mind without any fear of criticism or Judgement.
2) Scoville could have also recognized Lisa real time for a job well done on floor instead of shouting on her on

3) Linton could provide a progress road map to Lisa and conduct and training and development programs in
the organization.

Write your answer here - No. I don’t think there has been any breach of ethics by Lisa’s Co-workers.
Rather, Lisa’s co-workers were very supportive and even after the yelling incident, several of the other
associates and assistants in Hamster rallied to Benton’s support. They advised Benton to ‘’Hang in there and
reminder her the assignment was temporary and better is yet to come.

feels overstressed and undervalued under Linton.
