CAM 6 CAM 8

PART 1

1. Do you like to have flowers in your home?

Yes, definitely. Having flowers in homes has become something meaningful and traditional. I
remembered that my grandparents used to decorate their house with some flowers they found in the
garden or a field nearby. Now, we many more kinds of flowers, even exotic ones (hoa nhập) and I would
love to go to a flower market with my mom to choose the freshest to bring home. Flowers bring
happiness, relaxing moments and make our homes more colorful and vivid (sống động).

2. Where would you go to buy flowers?

Well, as I said above, I love going to a flower market the most because of its variety and freshness.
However, it opens very early in the morning and it’s hard to get up that early. So, I choose to go to a
florist’s (cửa hàng hoa) nearby more often whenever I want to buy some for special events of the
family.

3. On what occasions (dịp) would you give someone flowers?

Well, giving flowers is increasingly popular and I choose flowers as a gift on many occasions: birthday,
graduation day, parents’ wedding anniversary (kỉ niệm ngày cưới) and some other special events, you
can name it….(và như thầy cũng biết). And even when I visit someone in a hospital. I believe that the
patient will get better very soon when there are some beautiful flowers in the room.

4. Are flowers important in your culture?

I would say YES. We have the national flower (quốc hoa)– the lotus as you may/happen to know. It
represents the core values (giá trị cốt lõi) of VNese people. Besides, flowers are indispensable (ko thể
thiếu) in decorations for any occasions and festivals.

PART 3

Part 3.1

1. What are the different types of meeting the people go to?

Typical types of meeting: weekly meeting (cuộc họp giao ban), annual meeting (cuộc họp thường niên
gói gọnwrap-up), brain-storming meeting (cuộc họp để trao đổi ý kiến :get new ideas), problem-solving
meeting (cuộc họp giải quyết nhanh và cấp bách vấn đề:quick and urgent) -> explain each kind

2. Some people say that no-one likes to go to meetings – what do you think?

The fact is that meetings are boring and many people hate the feeling of joining a meeting, which is
often long and tedious= boring.

However, not all of them. Leaders, managers, CEOs, Heads of departments, politicians spend most of
their working weeks joining meetings and they really care about the reports of participants.

3. Why can it sometimes be important to go to meetings?

Well, as I said before. Though it is boring to join weekly or annual meetings, it is crucial/vital (cực kì
qtrong/cực cần thiết) for collecting/generating new ideas, which may help to bring the company to a
new business field or improve the existing situation.

What is more, whenever a problem arises, going to an urgent meeting is the first thing they can think of
to decide what should be done to limit/minimize damage and risk.

Part3.2

1. Why do you think world leaders often have meetings together? (các nhà lãnh đạo quốc tế họp
với nhau)

Well, though each country has its own territory (lãnh thổ), they interdepend (phụ thuộc lẫn nhau) on
each other. Therefore, world leaders have to meet to find solutions to controversial/global issues like
environmental pollution, famine, terrorism and you can name it. Besides, they have to meet to
improve/cement/strengthen diplomatic relations (quan hệ ngoại giao) and solve conflicts of some
regions or countries.

2. What possible difficulties might be involved in organizing meetings between world leaders?

+Incredibly busy schedule-> difficult to arrange a time for the meeting

+Terrorism -> their safety -> hard to find a place to hold the summit meetings (cuộc họp thượng đỉnh)

+Different time zone -> hard even for online conference + leak confidential information

+Conflicts among countries =>leaders are not willing to meet

3. Do you think that meetings between international leaders will become more frequent in the
future? Or will there be less need for world leaders to meet?

Without any hesitation (Ko hề do dự), I would say there will be more meetings as the ambition to make
the whole world a common village is increasingly believed by world leaders. I believe they all
understand the importance of bilateral (song phương) and multilateral (đa phương) relationships and
the interdependence on each other to solve global issues.
