Subject: Usability Test Results for "How to tie a fishing knot to line" Instructions

Summary

Overall, the three test subjects had a positive experience with the instructions. Each of the three
test subjects were able to successfully complete the fishing knot, with the provided instructions.
The participants each completed the knot carefully, taking their time and ensuring they don’t
miss steps. As the participants feedback was all mostly positive, the participants has a couple of
changes they recommended, including specifying which hole to loop the line through. The users
also recommended specifying how to pull the line tight and correctly at the end of the knot.

Findings
The participants enjoyed the simplicity of the instructions, and liked how they were
straightfoward and simple. The pictures provided also seemed to be beneficial towards the users.
Although each of the users were successful in the task, the users did complain about one of the
steps not exactly specifying which whole to loop the line through, they also mentioned the
instructions didn’t specify how to pull the line tight and correctly at the end of the knot.

Conclusion
To sum up, we made the directions better by using what we learned from the usability tests. They
helped people understand the directions by being used in them. People should be able to do their
jobs safer and more easily now that we made the updates and changes. We hope you agree with
these changes.
