Subject: Diaper changing instructions usability tests and outcomes.

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I am writing this memo in reference to our instructions that we
are intending on distributing to our customers. It will outline what the tests consisted of, how they were
conducted and what the outcomes of the tests were. I will also be including the recommendations based
on the outcomes of the tests.

Summary: Usability tests for our instructions on how to change a diaper were conducted with three
users that had varying levels of experience with changing diapers. Each user was supplied with all
materials needed for the task and instructed to think out loud. They were timed to see how quickly the
steps could be conducted. Upon completion of the instructions, they were asked 5 questions to evaluate
the usability of the instructions. Feedback was given and recommendations for changes were made
based off of that feedback.

Test Results:
The users were able to complete the instruction steps within two and a half minutes with minimal
setbacks. One user had no issues with the instructions. The two users that faced setbacks stalled at step
4. The first user that had trouble had read the instructions too quickly and had to stop at step 4. Upon
reading the instructions over again, the user was able to understand step 4 and completed the steps
with no further issues. The second user to run into an issue was also at step 4. the user had to read the
step over twice and completed step 4 with no further incident. All users had positive feedback and little
in the way of changes that needed to be made.

Issues Found:
There were two issues found with the instructions. The first was that the user did not read the
instructions thoroughly and had to stop to do so. The other issue was that step 4 was hard to
understand and may require pictures.

Conclusion:
The instructions were easy to use and able to be completed in a timely manner. Only two users had
issues, which stemmed from not reading thoroughly. All Users were happy with the instructions and
gave a good review of them. Each one stated that they would recommend them to anyone they know
with a new child.

Recommendations:
Overall, the instructions had little issues found and were able to be completed as they were. To improve
this flyer, adding a statement before the instructions stating for the user to read all instructions prior to
beginning would eliminate most confusion. Once this change is implemented, the instructions will be
able to be completed with no issues and will be a great tool for anyone new to changing diapers.

Sincerely,
