External environment of apple: Apple is the leading global digital and
smartphone provider. It was the only company that managed to provide both
software and hardware products. Meanwhile apple has provided its consumers
with good sales and good products.

The company faces different problems that are not in their control.

Internal environment:

● The founders of the company has put a lot of emphasis on creativity,


time and innovation.
● Enhance its innovative culture, the company has invested in research
and development.
● The product that apple represents is user-friendly. The HR strategy
employed by the company is the reason behind the companies
growth.
● The company has been with some of the best occupied management
approaches. The primary objective of the company is to offer choices
to students, companies, consumers, and professionals.

Section 2.2
Apple organizational structure can be described as hierarchical and functional. However, product-based
grouping is an important feature of the Apple organizational structure as well. Such a structure has been
developed by its founder and former CEO late Steve Jobs in order to ensure focused realization of his
innovative ideas and clear vision for the business. Apple is a very flat organisation, there's not that many
layers, and they're just all really involved.

Organisational structure by hierarchy a traditional way of representing structure of a business. It shows the
chain of command in a particular business.

Organisational structure by function an organisational structure where employees are grouped by


departments they belong to (marketing, finance, HR). After that has been determined, employees are then
organised by seniority.

produces. This involves dividing workforce based on what a company produces.

Section 2.4 Motivation
Motivating employees is critically important for the success of a firm.

There are a lot of methods Apple employs to motivate its employees

● applying Maslow’s theory, Apple has satisfied their employee needs of physiological by
tuning an average salary of $ 108,483 which essentially can assure endurance.

Section 2.4 Motivation

● Apple also motivates all its employees by giving them annual 25% discount
when they purchase an iPod, computer, or iPad and a bigger discount every 3
years. (The company also offers other discounts for family and friends)
● Apple has spaces called pods for each activity an employee engages during
the work day that is distributed democratically

Interesting fact: the CEO shares a pod with others too!

Apple rewarded its executives by giving them a recognition bonus of salary from 3
to 5 percent .
