Dear Admissions Committee,

I had the pleasure of teaching Eman in grade 11 at Sadiq and from the very first day, she impressed me
with her engaging, curious, and outgoing personality. The class discussions with her were the most
insightful and enjoyable, and I found myself looking forward to teaching this class every day. Most
memorable were my class discussions with her about poets and writers and the literature they produced.
Her ability to comprehend poetry was always far superior to her peers and she was always enthusiastic to
read more about traditional poets. She actively sought Iqbal and Faiz. I had a plethora of books with
extended knowledge of these writers at home and I’d often lend them to her. She’d read and we would go
on to discuss them both within and outside the class. I love how she analyzed everything we read in class
and drew out intellectual conclusions. She was always very eager, to learn what she did not know and to
communicate to others what she already believed to be true
During the two years I’ve taught her, I’ve come to find and admire her as one of the most self-aware and
confident students with moral values, principles, respect, and openness for others. This enabled her to
study effectively at this multicultural boarding school. While most people are torn by trivialities, I’ve seen
her recognize what’s important in life. You rarely meet someone with such extraordinary integrity as her.
My interaction with her was not only limited to the classroom but also in the Parliamentary Debating
Society which I was the officer-in-charge of. I noticed her actively engaging in intense, passionate, and
more importantly, well-informed and coherent debates. What immediately struck me was not just her
ability to debate but also her ability to lead as an office-bearer of the club. I admire the way she
coordinated and helped her juniors and engaged and encouraged more students to become a part of the
society. She has that lively and sincere personality that makes everyone around her very comfortable and
willing to be vulnerable. Thus, she always got the group meetings rolling.
Earlier in the evaluation form, I read the prompt where I was asked about her suitability for the chosen
program. I’m very confident in saying that Eman is a very well-rounded individual who adapts,
improvises, and overcomes. She has excelled in everything I’ve ever seen her participating in, from
academics to sports, MUNs to debating. She pushes her boundaries and takes risks. I have seen her
participating in activities not only at school but also always creating more opportunities for herself.
Volunteering at hospitals, partaking in NGOs, and even creating world records, she’s always up to
something. Thus, I believe she’d be incredibly suitable and likely to succeed in absolutely any program
LUMS has to offer.

Sincerely,
Noureen Ghazanfar
