Use your knowledge and graphic
communication skills to create graphic
communication for a promotional display.
The display is for a new bicycle model. It is placed in a promotional area at an airport.
The display needs to be based on the communication brief.

Communication brief

Create graphic communication for a promotional display of


a new bicycle model for use in the city. The theme of the
display is “living a more sustainable life in the city”, by using
a comfortable bicycle instead of a car to get around.

Define the graphic communication elements and media/carriers


for the display. They should visually support the product and
graphically express the sustainability theme.

The tasks of the promotional display are:

• attract attention and promote the new bicycle model

• present its main benefit – comfortable use in the city

• create awareness about the importance of


sustainable living in the city.

The promotional area has a size of 4 m2 (2x2 m).


It is located between the central stairs in the
departure area of an airport.

Communication brief

The display is located on the back wall of the Home


Decoration Shop in the IKEA store. It presents the
iconic IKEA PS 2002 watering can (in red).
The main story behind the watering can is the unique
form and design. Besides having a modern style and
great functionality, the shape of the product allows
you to stack hundreds of pieces on a pallet.
This makes transportation more efficient,
which in turn helps to keep a low price!
