You are on page 1of 3

Hey, can I ask you something? Are you down to be a social media manager?

But wait,
before you say yes, let me give you the lowdown on the downsides of being an SMM
first. I know some of y'all are just in it for the $5k a month, but if that's all you care about,
you might not even make a dime or last long in the SMM game.

Here are a few disadvantages:

● High pressure and workload: Social media managers are often responsible for
managing multiple social media accounts, creating and scheduling content,
monitoring analytics, and engaging with followers. This can be a high-pressure
and demanding job, especially if there are tight deadlines or unexpected issues to
resolve.
● Constant monitoring and availability: Social media never sleeps, and social media
managers need to be available to respond to messages, comments and
mentions around the clock. This can lead to long working hours and make it
difficult to switch off and take a break from work.
● Negative feedback and criticism: Social media can be a platform for people to
share negative feedback or complaints about a brand, and social media
managers are often the first point of contact for dealing with these issues. It can
be challenging to handle criticism and remain professional while also
maintaining the reputation of the brand.
● Keeping up with trends and algorithm changes: Social media is a constantly
evolving field, and social media managers need to stay up to date with the latest
trends, algorithm changes, and platform updates. This can require a lot of
research and continuous learning.
● Responsibility for brand reputation: Social media managers have a significant
impact on a brand's reputation and need to be careful to avoid any missteps or
mistakes that could damage the brand's image. This can be a lot of pressure, and
social media managers need to handle this responsibility with care and
professionalism.
SMM stands for social media management. The person who provides social media
management services is called a social media manager.

Money-making formula as an SMM

Our target is $5000 from 5 clients per month. There are two ways to achieve our goal.

01. Working with people such as Influencer and personal brands

02. Working with brand

Here’s a step-by-step guide to work with people:

Step One: Be active on your socials and grow your channels. Instagram is a moderate
platform to start with, and organic growth is easier to crack. Check out my free
Instagram 10k follower course here.

Step Two: Grab a notebook and pen, and then follow my 10CD Connection formula.
Connect with ten new people per day. Let’s see the math: 10 x 30 = 300 connections per
month. But not everyone is on Instagram or your social channel, so let's consider a 50%
conversion out of those 300 people. That is 150 people per month. Keep doing that and
move to step three.

Step Three: This is where you retain connections. Once you make a new connection and
talk to them, keep the messaging going. Revisit their message and send them a hi after
a week. Just keep the messaging going.

Step Four: After you make a handful of connections, build your offer and create
packages for your social media management service. Make three different packages:

● Basic. $599- $999/monthly

● Standard. $1099- $1400/monthly
● Premium. $1500- $2999/monthly

Step Five: Pitch your services to your connections. Once you have built a relationship
with your connections and established trust, you can pitch your social media
management services. Present your services clearly and highlight the benefits for the
client.

Step Six: Follow up and close the deal. Follow up with potential clients and address any
concerns they may have. Once they agree to your services, close the deal and start
working on their social media accounts.

Step Seven: Provide excellent service and generate referrals. Once you have started
working with your clients, provide excellent service and go above and beyond their
expectations. This will help you generate referrals and positive reviews, which can help
you attract more clients in the future.

In conclusion, becoming a social media manager can be a challenging job, but it’s all fun
if you can sustain it for a long time.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to work with brands:

Step 01: Make a list of brands you would like to work with. If you are new. I suggest you
start with small brands. Get noticed by them. Engage with their posts regularly. Show up
as a great social media manager. Don’t spit out non-professional words. Remember, one
simple, distinctive comment can get their attention as well.

Step 02: Approach them. Send a direct message. Don’t just send a direct message
saying that you would like to work with them. Pitch your offer with a properly laid-out
presentation or a case study. Explain to them how working with you can change their
social media performances.

Step 03: Then wait for their response. If you currently have no job, then try sending your
offer to a few more brands every day. Don’t lose hope. Keep trying.

Step 04: If they don’t reply to your message. Send another follow-up message. Never
spam.

Congratulations on making it here! You are now one step away from success. Take
action now.

Thank you.
