1, Preparation before construction

 First we held a meeting to prepare for the construction, at which the person in charge
assigned tasks, specify the work position, time and allocate operators. Next forward a
safety warning for personnel based on specific positions, environmental condition and
other factors and determine the key items and point of safety. Then we prepared tools and
materials and counted it one by one. In this case the materials and tools are telephone,
equipment key, test iron(2mm,4mm),screwdriver,rag,brush,matchineoil,signal bulbs and
small materials(including nuts,gaskets and cable ties).After that the indoor personnel and
outdoor protector checked communication tool and confirm that it is in good condition.
At the end the main operation schedule and time registration was done before the
construction.

2, The construction process

After arrived at the site we started by contacting the indoor personnel through the
communication tool and describe the work contents, location and number of the operators and
performed the following tasks.

 Performed the appearance inspection, cleaning of equipment and hard face.


 Checked to confirm that the equipment number is clear and conforms to the
specifications.
 Checked to confirm that the cement post of the signal is good without tilt or does not
exceed the limit, and that the base is solid.
 Checked to confirm that the ladder is free of damage and the installation conforms to
standards.
 Checked to confirm that the lens is clean and free of damage or crack.
 Checked to confirm that the boxes and mechanism are firmly installed and free of
damage, crack or water leakage, that the fixing screws are fastened and that all cotter pins
conform to standards.
 Checked to confirm that the boxes and mechanism are well locked.
 Checked to confirm that the coiler of the signal is well fixed and free of rust.
 Checked the earth wire of the signal ladder in the electrification section is firmly installed
and the strength conforms to the standards.
 Check to confirm that the signal display distance meets the requirements.
 At the end of the operation, the tools and materials were counted to ensure no missing
and the records can only be removed after being confirmed by the personnel working
indoors and outdoors.

3, Summary after construction

The signal lighting circuit is used to control the display of the signal, which directly issues traffic
orders to the driver. The correctness of the signal display has a direct impact on the safety of
traffic. Therefore, the signal lighting circuit is a safety circuit with tightness and reliability. The
signal lighting circuit is powered centrally from indoor, the control conditions are indoors, the
control object (the bulb) is outdoor. In order to indicate train operation and shunting orders,
railway must set up various signal and signal indicators as needed to form signal displays, ensure
the safety of traffic, improve the passing capacity of zones and stations. This makes the
construction important. In this operation starting from the beginning of the preparation to the end
of the construction we followed the operation procedure and safety first policy. To sum up this
construction checked the appearance and the grounding wire of the signal, checked the signal
mechanism,column, foundation appearance if it is good,stable,well locked and finally we
verified that it is in good condition.

4) The “double-track issue” issue

 We communicated with our Chinese supervisor as usual.

5) Measure to improve “double-track system “problem

 Asking our Chinese supervisor what we cannot understand well and enhance our skill.
