Job Purpose (Role)

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Oracle Database PL/SQL
Developer or Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong
track record of at least 10 years of experience in Oracle database development, PL/SQL
programming, and database architecture. This role will require technical leadership,
deep expertise in database design, and the ability to mentor and guide junior team
members.

Duties & Responsibilities

● Development and maintenance of complex PL/SQL code for critical


database-driven applications and modules.
● Architect, design, and optimize database structures, including tables, indexes,
views, and stored procedures, to ensure high performance and scalability.
● Collaborate with business stakeholders and application development teams to
gather requirements and translate them into efficient and robust database
solutions.
● Provide technical expertise and guidance in database architecture discussions
and decisions.
● Conduct in-depth performance tuning and optimization of database queries,
stored procedures, and functions to achieve optimal system response times.
● Perform database schema design and normalization to ensure data integrity and
efficient data retrieval.
● Ensure compliance with industry-standard security protocols and data
governance policies.
● Implement and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries,
data flow diagrams, and ER diagrams.
● Collaborate with Database Administrators (DBAs) to implement database
backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
● Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance
bottlenecks and issues.
● Stay abreast of the latest Oracle database technologies, trends, and best
practices to continuously enhance the database environment.

Essential Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related


field.
● Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Developer
or Architect.
● Extensive expertise in PL/SQL programming and database development,
including advanced querying and optimization techniques.
● Strong knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and
performance tuning.
● Experience with Oracle database versions (e.g., 11g, 12c, 19c) and proficiency in
SQL and PL/SQL programming.
● Familiarity with Oracle Exadata, RAC, and Data Guard is highly desirable.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug
complex database-related issues.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration
with cross-functional teams.
● Prior experience in a large-scale, enterprise-level database environment is
preferred.
● Knowledge of pos-gres is greatly appreciated.
