1. SCOPE
The Scope of this Method Statement is to establish guidelines addressing all the
requirements that are necessary to assure that Structural concrete air void repair shall
conform to the manufacturer's recommendation and specifications as needed for Water
Disposal Refurbishment Plant Safaniyah Project Saudi Aramco.
2. PURPOSE
The purpose of this Method Statement is to be to establish guidelines addressing all the
requirements that are necessary to assure that Structural concrete air void repair shall
conform to the manufacturer's recommendation and specifications and in a safe and
orderly manner meeting the requirements of the Aramco HSE Manual.

5. RESPONSIBILITIES
5.1 Quality Control Inspector
5.1.1 Conducts daily in-house inspections of completed portions of work
(Structural concrete air void repair) in coordination with the Project
Engineer and ensures that all corrective actions necessary from the
comments during the inspections are performed promptly by the Site
Engineer and/or Foreman.
5.1.2 Submits the RFI (Request for Inspection) to the ENPPI and
coordinates with them on the relevant inspection required after in-house
verification of the completed work by the construction team to ensure
compliance with specification requirements.
5.1.3 Ensure all inspections are performed and all relevant inspection
forms are accomplished as per Project specifications and applicable
ITP.
5.1.4 Coordinates with the Site Engineer and ENPPI Representative
during Inspection.
5.2 Quality Control Supervisor
5.2.1 The QC Supervisor is responsible for reviewing this procedure and
also has the overall responsibility of ensuring that works in the field are
performed in compliance with all applicable quality standards,
stipulations, and procedures in addition to ensuring that corrective
actions are taken in cases where works are not performed correctly and
functionally report to QC/QA Manager.
5.2.2 Provide administrative and technical direction to all quality control
personnel including personnel administration, resolution of technical
problems, development/approval of in-house training, etc.
5.2.3 Insure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of
noncompliance.
5.2.4 Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance
programs to meet company standards and specifications.
5.2.5 Coordinate all QC inspectors and monitor the progress and
effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend
and implement improvements when required and report all QA/QC
activities with the site QC manager.
6. EQUIPMENTS
7. EQUIPMENT
7.1 All PPEs i.e. (Hard Hat, Safety Shoes, Fluorescent Vest, Ear Plug,
Goggle, Dust Mask, coverall, gloves, mask), safety equipment, warning
devices shall be worn by the personnel at all times.
7.2 Before any survey work will commence, the engineer/surveyor shall
ensure that all relevant permits are approved and work may proceed as
specified in permits.
7.3 Safety signs, warning lights (if working during night-time) and entry
attendants will be provided.
7.4 All work shall be undertaken following the HSE manual and all individual
activities will be set up in an orderly manner to ensure compliance with the
requirements.
7.5 Work permit shall be obtained before the start of any work activity and
work shall commence following the specific measures itemized in the permit.
7.6 Pre-task instruction will be handled with all involved personal before
activities commence.
7.7 First aider and fire warden course will be handled with a sufficient amount
of workers.
7.8 All workers associated with the activity shall be alerted and be aware
during loading and unloading of acoustical false ceiling units and Raised
Floor. Hand and power tools to be properly maintained, defective tools will
not be used.
7.9 Keep hands away from drill, blades and hold the body of the tool with
both hands. Ensure all electrical power connections shall be incorporated
with protection. Use appropriate eye protection.
7.10 Ensure to always check the proper condition of all hand tools and
equipment, Defective tools and equipment shall not be used and shall be
reported immediately, and Keep the passageways clear at all times.
7.11 Ensure availability of Emergency Response Plan on-site and conveyed
to all personnel on-site. Ensure the availability of First Aiders, Ambulance
with driver
7.12 All involved personal shall be trained according to the activity which will
be developed on daily basis.
7.13 Enough light will be provided at all times inside the building;
7.14 Suitable respiratory protection will be used when required.
7.15 Work area shall be maintained clean and tidy at all times.
7.16 Access ways shall be free of obstructions and properly flagged.
7.17 Adequate material stacking shall be provided with suitable signage,
barricade, and walkways between materials.
7.18 Waste segregation shall be ensured at all times;
7.19 Damaged or defective materials shall not be used for formwork and
shall be immediately removed from the site.
8 PROCEDURE AND MATERIAL HANDLING
8.1 Materials Receiving & Storage:
8.1.1 All materials are delivered in the original factory sealed, unopened
packages, containers, or bundles bearing the brand name, applicable
standard
designation, and the name of the manufacturer, or the supplier for
whom the product is manufactured.
8.1.2 For Storage condition Shall follow to manufacturer
recommendation
8.2 PROCEDURE:
8.2.1 Check and identify the hollow sound on the base plate and mark.
8.2.2 Determine the injection hole and put marking before start drilling
8.2.3 Minimum two holes at hollow sound located, one hole for injection
and one for air trapping.
8.2.5 Ensure that the drilling pin size matches the injection needle.
8.2.6 The hole needs to be near the center of the void or the part of the
large void to ensure the edge of the void.
8.2.7 After drilling must be clean by an air blower before starting the
chemical injection
8.2.8 Used Mechanical injection or another applicable tool.
8.2.9 For Chemical injection Material should be followed to application
instructions and mixing as per Manufacturer recommendation.
8.2.10 During the injection of application ensure that Material has
reached up to the air-trapping hole located.
8.2.11 Notification to SAPID by raising RFI prior to start the activities
