O sun of real peace! O hastening light!
O free and ecstatic! O what I here, preparing, warble for!
O the sun of the world will ascend, dazzling, and take his height –
and you too, O my Ideal, will surely ascend!
O so amazing and broad – up there resplendent, darting and burning!
O vision prophetic, stagger’d with weight of light! with pouring glories …
These invigorating words by Walt Whitman certainly ignite a sense of tranquillity in our minds
and usher in a new era of hope in humanity and mankind.
Good morning to one and all! We welcome you all to the inaugural ceremony of the sixth edition
of the Delhi Public School Model United Nations organized by Aletheia- The MUN & Debating
Society.

Neelansh-
The United Nations celebrates this spirit of humanity by bringing nations from all over the world
together to work and diplomatically to address global concerns. As a result, Model UN provides
a platform for developing the creativity, leadership, mental agility, self-assurance, and dedication
to the cause that is our future in our young minds. Aletheia follows a very similar ideology and
believes in distinctive thinking along with promoting the liberty to voice one’s true opinions.

Welcoming of the guests#2

With the motto, ‘Fiat Lux’, Latin for ‘Let there be light’, we endeavour in our journey of moving
forward from the hollow darkness of ignorance to the illuminating light of true wisdom!

On this momentous occasion, it is our privilege to extend our heartfelt welcome to Mr. Srijan Pal
Singh as the chief guest for the day. He is an author, public speaker, education innovator and
social entrepreneur. He had previously worked as Advisor to Dr APJ. Abdul Kalam, the 11th
President of India. He is the Founder of Homi Lab.

Lighting of the lamp#3

Tanushree-

The light of a lamp represents hope and faith and holds the promise that goodness shall prevail
over all hatred and bitterness. So let us ignite our minds and souls to welcome the true spirit of
peace in our hearts by lighting the lamp.
May I now invite our dear principal ma’am, our honourable chief guest and all the eminent
dignitaries present, to kindly come and light the lamp.

Dance#5

Neelansh-
Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breath. It’s the rhythm of your life. It’s the expression
in time and movement, in happiness, joy and sadness. To dance is to be out of yourself. Larger,
more beautiful, more powerful. This is power, it is glory on earth and it is yours for the taking.
On this note, I would like to invite on stage our immensely gifted dance troupe!
Thank you for that scintillating performance!

Success is nothing without the collective indulgence of an entire team. There are countless days
of struggle, resilience and perseverance that contribute to the ultimate victory! With the spirit of
fraternity and determined team work, we now have a heart-warming video showcasing some
cherished moments and elements that constitute DPSI MUN 2022.

Address by the President#6

Tanushree-
I now invite on stage, Mr. Advitiya Pathak, President- Alethia, MUN & Debating Society to share
a few words on his experience being a part of the Secretariat of DPSIMUN’22 and working
relentlessly in the MUN Society.

DPS Indirapuram is a certain proponent of promoting novel ideas and individualistic thinking!
Today, our school stands tall with the third issue of The Crusade-the MUN year book and who
better than the mighty author Mr. Srijan Pal Singh himself, to launch this wonderful compilation
of thought-provoking writings and impeccably impactful works of art!

I now invite, the backbone of team Aletheia, Ms. Sakshi Singh, Secretary General of DPSI
MUN’22 to kindly come and share with us, the essence of her role in the Secretariat and the
MUN society.
