presented a valuable opportunity to experience a simulated work-life or career before entering

the professional field.

Towards the end of our third year, our professor, Dr. Ayman El Nahass, assigned us a

will attach it in the document below.

Well, during my Internship I didn’t face a trouble or some difficulties. My only problem

that I may I’ve faced discrimination from a manager there as all the other co-workers and

interns have notice that and this manager tried to get me out there although the

director/CEO and his wife were impressed by my researching and how I can easily reach

to data and analyze it and get creative ideas from it. The claim was that I’m not qualified

enough as I can’t do photoshop, illustrator and aftereffects “as R&D specialist”. Not to

mention that I’ve good experience with photoshop and I can use illustrator.

As mentioned before with each task what I’ve learnt from, I’ve learnt a lot from the tasks

and the co-workers, starting from the skills I’ve learnt tips and tricks in the power point,

using the AI, setting a research criterion, know further information about diseases,

exploring the VR world and technology and effective time management.

Conclusion

My internship at Ebers Ltd was a rich and transformative experience that not only

fulfilled the academic requirements of my major and program, but also provided an in-

depth insight into the practical aspects of a dynamic and innovative company. Under the

guidance of Dr. Mohamed Diab, Founder and Owner of Ebers, I took on the role of a

Research and Development (R&D) intern, where I delved into a variety of assignments

that spanned from interactive presentations to comprehensive research projects.

Ebers is a small but influential company with approximately 20 employees that operates

at the intersection of visual resources and education, working in a variety of fields

including healthcare, public health, and science communication.

We specialize in simplifying complex concepts. The company's efforts to improve

communication in the medical field through 3D modeling and virtual reality (VR)

applications became the focus of my internship.

The training process was carefully structured, with Ms. Salma, Operations Manager,

providing an insightful introduction to the company's mission, customer base, and the

role of each department. My responsibilities as a research and development intern include

a unique mix of tasks, from creating interactive presentations for university professors

abroad to building a digital presence through social media campaigns. Additionally, I

have carried out extensive research projects and collaborated with Dr. Diab on a

systematic review of virtual reality applications in healthcare.

9
The work environment at Ebers allowed me to see how different departments work

together and how each contributes to the company's success. Employees, from 3D artists

to finance and human resources staff, played a critical role in his Ebers operations.

The interdisciplinary nature of the task at hand was further emphasized through

collaboration with fellow interns from the “Applied Languages” program.

Despite the numerous tasks and challenges, from writing sales scripts to extensive

research into VR technology, my journey has been surprisingly smooth.

However, an unfortunate incident of perceived discrimination by a manager occurred,

illustrating the complexities that can occur in a professional environment.

It is important to note that these challenges did not overshadow the positive aspects of

the internship, such as the evaluation of my research skills by the CEO and his wife.

My skills improved significantly due to the various tasks during the internship.

From learning tools like After Effects and AI to conducting market research for VR

headsets and liaising with universities, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of

the field. Additionally, this experience provided me with insight into effective time

management, interdisciplinary collaboration, and application of research methods.

Looking at the training outcomes, it is clear that my internship at Ebers not only

fulfilled my academic requirements, but also inspired my passion for the field. The

exposure to cutting-edge technology and the satisfaction I get from working on

meaningful projects strengthened my commitment to a career in this field.

10
In summary, my internship at Ebers was a transformative journey that not only fulfilled

my academic requirements but also fueled my desire to continue in the field.

The skills I acquired, the challenges I overcame, and the positive impact I had on the

company's projects strengthened my determination to pursue a path based on my

experience at Ebers Ltd.
