GRADE 10 EDUCATIONAL TRIP – CREATING A TRAVEL VLOG

Objectives:
a. Work together to make a group travel vlog about the Grade 10 EDUCATIONAL TRIP,
improving teamwork and communication.
b. Create a captivating vlog that brings the EDUCATIONAL TRIP experiences to life,
encouraging reflection and deeper understanding.
c. Enhance video and storytelling skills, using interviews, visuals, and narrative techniques
to convey the educational trip's importance.
Materials:
 Notebook/Notepad
 Pen/pencil
 Cameras or smartphones (for video recording)
 Video editing software or apps

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. PRE-EDUCATIONAL TRIP PREPARATION:


 Students will be informed about the upcoming educational trip, its objectives, and the
locations to be visited.
 Class in each section will be divided into small groups (5-6 members per group). Each
group will be responsible for creating their travel vlog – this will be organized by the
respective class advisers
 Assign group roles such as videographer, presenter, interviewer, editor, etc. within
each group.

2. EXPLORATION AND DOCUMENTATION:


 During the educational trip, each group should actively participate, record video footage,
and take notes on their experiences, insights, and learnings.

3. REFLECTIVE INTERVIEWS:
 Students should conduct interviews with classmates, teachers, or locals during the trip.
These interviews can provide different perspectives and insights.
 Prepare a set of thoughtful questions to ask during the interviews.

4. CREATE A TRAVEL VLOG:


 Back in the classroom or after returning from the trip, each group should collaborate to
edit their travel vlog using video editing software or apps.
 The vlog should include a clear narrative, interviews, on-site footage, and creative
editing to make it engaging.
 Students can also add text overlays, music, and captions to enhance the vlog.
 The travel vlog will run for 8 - 10 minutes including the introductory and the vlog credits.
 The medium of instructions to be used is English and/or Filipino.
 Submission is on November 24, 2023, Friday.
 Final output – travel vlog must be shared/submitted to all the subject teachers’ email
