As a member of the Software Operations team, in the Information Technology division, you will be responsible for providing
architectural leadership in the design, development, planning, implementation, and support of the Manitoba Hydro's service
management platform. You will be responsible for leading the evolution of the service management platform from an ITSM-focused
solution to one with a larger focus on business workflows from across the enterprise.

The ITSM Architect will report directly to the Software Operations Lead and will work closely with business stakeholders, project
leaders and other Information Technology experts to deliver integrated and optimized solutions in alignment with enterprise strategy.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with D&T Business Partnership and business stakeholders to provide architectural consulting expertise for the
enterprise service management platform.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to develop, maintain, and promote technology standards, technical capability,
guidelines, guardrails, and enterprise reference architectures.
- Provide leadership and guidance for ITSM Developers to ensure integrations and customizations are aligned with enterprise
architecture principles and industry best practices.
- Lead organizing and coordinating changes and technical upgrades for the enterprise service management platform (complete
life-cycle management).
- Lead the review, design, or redesign of new or existing services within the service management platform.
- Establish a Service Management Platform roadmap, addressing the enterprise's short- and long-term goals, and lead the
team in its execution.
- Design and lead the development and maintenance of interfaces and customizations for the Service Management Platform.
- Keep abreast of enterprise service management technology trends and best practices, communicating those to colleagues
and management.
- Serve as a technical liaison or Solution Architect for projects involving Service Management.
- Mentor and develop team members.

Qualifications:

- A four-year degree (Computer Science or a related discipline) from a recognized university plus a minimum of five years of
related experience
OR
- A two-year Diploma in Computer Programming Technology from an institute of recognized standing plus a minimum of seven
years of related experience
- Experience in the development, architecture, and support of an enterprise-level Service Management Platform is required.

- Demonstrated effectiveness in Service Management Platform integration development, while following software development
best practices is required.
- Experience with BMC applications (AR Server, DWP Catalog, and Innovation Studio)
- ITIL certification and experience with ServiceNow products as well as Ansible Automation Platform would be considered an
asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with individuals across the corporation. This includes communication
with stakeholders at various levels and delivering presentations to those stakeholders and the management team.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in providing technical guidance and problem management skills to the ongoing operations of the
Service Management platform.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships with external and internal contacts in multiple
departments and positions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
Experience with Eclipse IDE, Apache Tomcat, Oracle Databases, MS SQL Server, Linux, and Java is an asset.
- Will be required to be on call and work overtime when required to provide system support outside of regular working hours to
assure system reliability.

Salary Range

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $44.82 - $ 61.88 Hourly,
$85,891.26-$118,583.66 Annually.
