As the President of the Supreme Student Government of BISU
Clarin Campus, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made this SSG Special Oath Taking and Tribute to SSG Awardees possible and successful. Thank you to our very supportive Campus Director, Dr. Roxanne P. Altea, our ever dynamic SAS Director, Dr. Patricio Doroy, our very passionate, dedicated and supportive SSG Adviser Dr. Norman Toreggosa. Despite the hectic schedules and budget hearing here and there, you still supported this event. Your presence has been invaluable and without any doubt has helped make this event success. Few moments ago, we have witnessed our newly SSG Support Staff officers taking their oath and pledging their commitment towards the advancement of the welfare of BISU Clarin students and we have also witnessed the giving of awards to our former SSG officers for rendering your time and effort being an active SSG Officer. On a personal note allow me to leave some thoughts on leadership to our SSG Support Staff an our former SSG Officers. My dear SSG Officers and former SSG Officers, there are three keys to be effective leader First, be true to yourself. Second, be true to the people you lead. And third, be true to the people you lead. There might be a dynamics of effective leadership that I fail to cover. But holding on those three keys to be effective leader can make a positive difference in the way you lead. Leadership is not easy game, but for those who are given the chance to lead, do it with a sense of purpose and dignity. The world will be a better place then because of the light you are able to shine! As we have witnessed today, all of our efforts definitely paid off! Humbly, today, we are making history again. And this won’t happen without you all. So again, we THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS! As I leave a noteworthy quotation from famous philosopher Confucius “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” Above all, we give God the glory! SOLI DEO GLORIA
