societies, as well as knowledge, beliefs, arts, laws and so on.

Visual arts: Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Ceramics, Photography...

Photography:

The word Photography literally means ‘drawing with light’, which derives from the Greek photo,
meaning light and graph, meaning to draw. Photography is the process of recording an image – a
photograph – on lightsensitive film or, in the case of digital photography, via a digital electronic

I will start with a brief history of photography. The first photo ever taken was in 1826 in France. The
photo was captured at polished tin plate with a petroleum solution on it. The camera was capturing
a photo for 8 hours, which is quite a long time. However, now most of people use digital cameras or
their mobile phones.

Composition:

Composition is how you organize the photo. It always has it’s main element – that is what defines
the photo, or additional elements – they support the main element or even explain the photo.

Many people today believe that their phone is good enough for most photography, and they have no
need to buy a separate camera. And you know what? They’re not wrong. For most people out there,
a dedicated camera is overkill.

Phones are better than dedicated cameras for most people’s needs. They’re quicker and easier to
use, not to mention their seamless integration with social media. It only makes sense to get a
dedicated camera if your phone isn’t good enough for the photos you wanr if you’re specifically
interested in photography as a hobby.
