Boost Switching Regulator

In this simulation, we will build a very basic boost switching regulator. We have the advantage that
we can use idealised components to mimic all the control and switching.
1. Place the components and wire up as shown in figure 1. The components, together with the
groups and families in which are located are given in table 1.

Task 1
Take a screen image of the circuit and upload to Moodle
Run the simulation.
Copy the transient graph and paste into the quiz question on Moodle.
Task 2
Stop the simulation and switch to an interactive simulation.
Restart the simulator and note the Vdc and Vp-p values on Moodle.
Comment on the results.
Comment on the relationship between the supply voltage and the output voltage across the
bulb.
Task 3
Stop the simulation again, and change the frequency of V2 to 100kHz.
Restart the simulation again.
Comment on how quickly the voltage reaches its final value with the new clock frequency
Note the final dc and p-p output voltages.
