The chart provides data regarding percentages of commuters using four different means of

transportation in a European countries country over the 40 years courses fourty-year course
starting from 1950 to 1990. Overall, people who went to work by foot accounted for the highest
percentage in 1950 while bus and car had the highest share in 1970 and 1990 respectively.
Furthermore,travel by popularity of car travel increased significantly over this period whereas
the figures of for others other modes of transport saw a downward trend.

Looking in at the graph,the proportions of people who chosen chose to travel by bus, car and
foot had similar patterns during this period.In terms/Regarding/With respect to/as regards of
bus, the figure for bus this means of transport stood at 20% in 1950 before experiencing a
dramatic increase to 28% in 1970.Then, the percentage of bus travelers/this percentage
decreased significantly to 17% in 1990.As for bike, its took up a large proportion at the start of
the period of transportation modes which were chosen by workers while there was a slight fell
fall to 23% in 1970. Moreover, in 1990 had the lowest share in this means of transportation had
the lowest share in 1990.Considerable differences were evident in foot where the percentage in
1950,1970 and 1990 were 35%,19% and 10% respectively.

Regarding cars, only 7% of Europeans chose this kind of transportation at only 7% to commute
to work which had the lowest share in the first period , marking it as the least preferred option,
as opposed to nearly 25% in 1970.Next, cars headed the list with 37% that , which surpassed
those the figures for the three other types of transport.
