METHODS
This research aims at finding the relationship between sleep quality (dependent variable)
WHAT and lifestyle factors (independent variables) of students, and thus, present recommend-
ations to improve students' sleep quality as well as their work performance and health.

This research collects participants background information as well as specialized

information that may affect (presented in the following slides)

Relationship between workload and sleep quality

Relationship between workload and sleep quality

Label workload estimation as ordinal data:
Light = 1
Moderate = 2

Workload estimation frequency

Heavy = 3

Mean of sleep quality

Overwhelming = 4
We calculate the frequency of workload estimation
and mean of sleep quality to identify the correlation
between workload and sleep quality.

Workload

Workload and sleep quality have an inverse relationship: The lighter the workload,
the better the sleep quality. The heavier the workload.
Relationship between hours of sleep and sleep quality

Relationship between hours of sleep and sleep quality

Hours of sleep and sleep quality

have a positive relationship:
The shorter the sleep time, the
worse the sleep quality and
vice versa.

If people sleep too much, the

quality of sleep also decreases.

The ideal hours of sleep should be

from 7 - 9 hours to have the best
sleep quality (ranging from 4 - 5)
Relationship between eating style and sleep quality

Relationship between eating style and sleep quality Label eating style as ordinal data:

1 2 3 4 5

Unhealthy Healthy

Correlation between eating style and sleep quality:

Eating style and sleep quality have a positive relationship: When people eat unhealthily, they cannot gain
good sleep quality. When people have healthy eating style, they will have better sleep quality.
Relationship between mental condition and sleep quality

Relationship between mental condition and sleep quality

Label mental condition as ordinal data:

1 2 3 4 5

Depressed Calm

Correlation between mental condition and sleep quality:

Mental condition and sleep quality have a positive relationship: If people are depressed, their sleep
quality can be badly effected. If their mental health is good, people will sleep better.
