1. The served floors are divided in three (3) categories:

- Incoming traffic (CPS) floors, normally main floor(s)
- Lower zone
- Higher zone

2. The elevators are divided in two (2) ‘groups’:

- One for lower zone
- One for higher zone

All elevators serve CPS floor(s). When leaving the CPS floor, the elevator
can serve only lower or higher zone floors as specified for it. The restricted
area car calls are locked, when the elevator stands in CPS floor.

Indicator is switched on during CPS (special indicator is needed). This

indicator could be used in main floor directing passengers to proper
elevators and/or in car indicating that all car calls are not allowed.

Possible values:
Submenu 1 - CPS option activation
Submenu 2 – car calls are served while driving down
Submenu 3 - up peak detection
Submenu 4 - down peak detection
Submenu 5 - CPS automatically on by time

Example: See Appendix 11.

.
NOTE: Set also parameters 8_2, 8_3, 8_4 and 1_1.
Sub zone start time (ID 145) and Sub zone stop time (ID 146) must be set
by laptop computer when CPS automatically on by time (8_1_Sub5) is
used. This function (8_1_Sub5) requires also E-Link, which will give time
to LCE.
Separate CPS indicator can be controlled by LCEOPT (requires LCE sw
6.6.11 or later version). See Appendix 7.

This feature adds the elevator group transportation capacity from the
entrance floor. The feature aims to fill the car full of passengers before it
leaves the entrance floor. There is an indicator to show, which car is next to
start.
When next up operation is on, a selected car is prevented from closing it's
door and leaving the entrance floor until it is loaded to a predetermined
load or predetermined time has passed. Any car, on automatic operation,
standing at he main floor without a down direction can be selected as the
next up car. When a car is selected, it's door opens and it's next up indicator
is turned on. All cars, on automatic operation, standing at the main floor
will have their door close buttons disabled.
When the next up car is ready to start, the next up indicator is turned off
and the door starts to close. Another available car will then be selected as
the next up car.

During Next Up operation advance signaling (LAL A) is disabled for the

entrance floor.

Possible values:
0 - NEX not in use
1 - NEX MA - next car up in main entrance floor, function is always
active
2 - NEX MU - next car up in main entrance floor, function is active
only during up peak
3 - NEX MUE - next car up in main entrance floor, function is
active only during up peak, first available car is shuttled to main
floor
4 - NEX SA - next car up in both main and secondary entrance
floor, function is always active
5 - NEX SU - next car up in both main and secondary entrance
floor, function is active only during up peak
6 - NEX SUE - next car up in both main and secondary entrance

Appendix 9: General EPD signals for NA and ROW

1. GENERAL

There are three EPD inputs and three EPD outputs assigned to LCEOPT board number 0.
This document describes the function of each inputs and outputs. Note that inputs are
different between ROW and NA. ROW means Rest Of the World.

2. PARAMETER SETTINGS

Internal sequencer

• Parameter 7-45 (EPD Full Service Enabled) to be set 1, if full service allowed.
After all elevators are recalled, the sequencer automatically turns predefined
elevator back to service. Can be overridden by manual switch. See chapter 3.2
• Parameter 7-49 (Return Order). Defines the recall order. Default is from smallest
elevator id to highest in the group.
• Parameter 7-50 (Max no of returning and left in use) if more than one elevator
recalled simultaneously. Default is to recall only one at a time. This should be
obeyed also when manual override switch is used.
• Parameter 7-51 (Power Up Delay). Defines the delay after power up when the first
elevator will be recalled. Default 15 seconds.
• Parameter 7-52 (In Use Order). Defines the order elevators are returned to serve
calls under EPD. Default is from smallest to highest lift id.
• Parameter 7-53 (Return Supervision time). Defines the time, which is allowed for
the elevator to drive to the recall floor. If the time expires, drive permission will
be switched to the next elevator. Default 120 seconds.
• Parameter 7-54 (Running Supervision Time). Defines the time to get elevator
starting recall drive. If the time expires, drive permission will be switched to the
next elevator. Default 15 seconds.
• A default value varies according to elevator type or NA/ROW sw.

External sequencer

• Parameter 7-51 (Power Up Delay) to be set to 0. Default is 15 seconds.

3. INPUTS

Input 4(ROW) 5(NA): EPD SIGNAL

Internal sequencer

When the EPD SIGNAL is activated the elevator will stop to the next
available floor. All existing car calls will be cancelled. Simplex elevator
cancels also landing calls. After stopping the elevator returns non-stop to the
EPD recall floor. Return is done like a normal drive, except no calls are
accepted.
If the elevator is already standing at floor other than recall floor, it will
close the door and return non-stop to the recall floor.
If the elevator is already standing at recall floor, it will follow the parameter setting
either to open or close the door.

External sequencer

When the EPD SIGNAL is activated the elevator will stop immediately. All existing
car calls will be cancelled. Simplex elevator cancels also landing calls. When the
recall drive is permitted via input 5 or 6;EPD PERMISSION it returns non-stop to
the EPD recall floor. Return is done like a normal drive, except no calls are
accepted.
If the elevator is already standing at floor other than recall floor, it will
close the door and return non-stop to the recall floor when the external
sequencer gives drive permission.
If the elevator is already standing at recall floor, it will follow the parameter setting
either to open or close the door.

Input 5(ROW) 6(NA): EPD PERMISSION/EPD AUTO/OVERRIDE

Internal sequencer

This input overrides the automatic setting and takes the elevator in question to full
service mode to serve car and landing calls. This is done by changing the elevator mode
back to normal mode. Override switch can’t take more lifts to full service than set in
parameter 7-50.

Parameter manual for LCE 159 (171)
Global R & D EDMS Code
31.08.2007 950438

External sequencer

External sequencer gives drive permission to one elevator at a time. When this input is
activated the elevator in question is allowed to perform recall drive to EPD recall floor,
which is defined by UI parameter 1-64. These override switches are located in KONE
sequencer device 731600 G01 and they are marked ELEV1-ELEV4.

Input 6(ROW) 7(NA): EPD ADVANCED SIGNAL

Internal sequencer
