Projects

HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited(HMEL) - February 2023 to Present

HPCL Mittal Energy limited owns the state of the art 11.5MMTPA refinery at bathinda. HMEL is now planning to
expand its business in to Petroleum and non fuel retail segment. For that company has targeted 5000 fuel retail
outlet across India in coming 5 years.
✔ Looking after Engineering design management of Petroleum retail outlets. Reviewing design developed by
engineering contractor.
✔ Development of Maintenance philosophy for upcoming petroleum retail outlets. Defining SLAs for different
maintenance and inspection intervals based on safety and operation criticality.
✔ Looking after statutory approvals with Petroleum and Explosive safety organization. Also with Electricity
boards for electrical connections.
Reliance BP mobility Limited - March 2022 to January 2023

Reliance BP mobility limited operates 1400 plus petroleum retail outlets. Madhya Pradesh is one of the biggest
states geographically and strategically with 120 plus retails outlets. Those retail outlets serve customers MS, HSD,
CNG, ALPG and convenience facilities. In such huge numbers and widespread network providing the customer
satisfaction and maintaining technically reliable system is challenging and enriching in experience. Being a state
maintenance manager following are my key deliverables:

State Maintenance Manager

✔ Managing maintenance and upkeep of 120 plus Petroleum retail outlets across state. Ensure health and
uptime of assets through execution of preventive plans, timely resolution of breakdown calls, failure analysis
corrective actions and audit of assets.
✔ Keep track of pending calls, SLA monitoring for critical assets wiz Transformer, CVCF, UPS DU,FRP tanks, fill
point locks and automation system.
✔ Annual and quarterly budget planning and allocation to vendors. Monitor expanses by MEC contractors,
optimization in RO expanses and budget utilization.
✔ Ensure adherence to statutory PESO guidelines. Submission of application for various grants for Amendments
in assets, resolving technical discrepancies from PESO office and planning OTP endorsement visits.
✔ Supervise and monitor construction of new retail outlets facilities for products MS, HSD, CNG and ALPG. Track
work status, preparation of HOTO strategy and commissioning the facility for open to public.

Reliance Industries Limited (Petroleum Exploration and Production) - October 2012 to February 2022

Reliance industries limited operates its gas production facility of 2 MM SCMD at Shahdol Madhya Pradesh. Total
300 gas wells produces gas and through underground pipelines reaches to Group gathering stations where gas
processes to dehydration and compression and through CTM delivers to Allahabad via cross country pipelines.
Electrical system forms an integral part of the facility. Centralized power generation through gas engine generators
delivers power to process plant as well as a technically complex and widespread cable network of 500 Sq km.

Right from the pilot production facility to construction, commissioning and steady state operations worked in
various roles. Some of my key roles and responsibilities I have taken are as follow:

Senior Electrical Engineer

✔ Identify and implement improvement projects such as power system forecast, capacity enhancement, and
routine functional test to increase Oil & Gas plant uptime, Cost reduction, safety and environment
compliance.
✔ Root-cause analysis of major and repeated and coordinated with cross-departmental teams to resolve
critical problems during operations; standardized the solutions to ensure non-occurrence of the problem in
future by GE- APM Meridium.
✔ Review and examine electrical equipment test records such as transformer oil analysis, cable integrity
testing, Review equipment maintenance records, equipment thermography, Cathodic protection system,
hazardous area classification and electric motor integrity.
✔ Site coordinator for Management of Change, to drive the entire change management process and review
effectiveness of modifications.
✔ Experienced in Hazard identification and consequence Analysis, certified member for studies like PHA,
HAZOP, what if analysis, LOPA and FMEA.
✔ Implementation of Operating and Management system (OMS), Identification, analysis and mitigation of risk
in maintenance execution, opportunity-based maintenance and spares planning.
✔ Conduct Asset reliability analysis to implement Breakdown, predictive (PdM), refurbishment, calibration and
preventative maintenance (PM) plan for electrical systems.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

✔ Accountable for handling and Maintenance of the HT/LT switchgears (Siemens and L&T), Gas engine
generators (GE Janbacher) switch boards up to 33kV, transformers.
✔ Handled Operation and Maintenance of various kinds of circuit breakers like VCB, and ACB, LT motors,
battery charger ups system (Emerson/ Vertiv), MCC, PCC, Thyristor controlled heaters, cables, relays, busbars,
numerical based relays, lighting system.
✔ Tasked with operation and maintenance of Electrical system of 300 gas wells, Downhole pressure monitoring
system, Parameterization setup of Variable frequency drives (Schneider/ABB/Triol) for Asynchronous motors
driving Progressive cavity Pumps and Electrical submersible pumps.
✔ Managed Power distribution network spread in 1000 km 2 consisting underground power cables, GIS Package
Substations (Siemens), distribution networks, Relay coordination, Cable testing (VLF, Tan delta and Partial
discharge), underground Cable fault location, Cable Jointing, and terminations.
✔ Inspection and Supervision of 302 KM Shahdol-Phulpur Gas pipeline cathodic Protection system.
✔ Experienced in SAP PM and MM modules, Managing inventory, spares, and AMC services according to annual
maintenance plan.
✔ Effective Execution of maintenance strategy and strict adherence to statutory compliance, LOTO, Electrical
safety.
✔ Regulate & supervise Factory acceptance tests for procured equipment’s such as UPS, Generators,
compressors, Switchboards, HT & LT motors etc globally

Engineer Trainee:

✔ Oil & Gas project design review; Front End Engineering Design (FEED) review & Detail Engineering. Review,
evaluate and update electrical one-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
✔ Pre-Commissioning& Commissioning strategy preparation & execution for Oil & Gas Projects.

Proficiency

✔ Computerized maintenance management system, SAP PM and MM and GE-APM meridium.

✔ MS office, Excel, word and power point presentation.

Achievements
✔ Appreciated for successfully completing Thermal to Electric-Heater replacement for economizing gas
consumption of about 6000 SCM/ day in Gas Dehydration Unit which saved about INR 3.28 Crore in 2018-19.
✔ Incepted the trend of "Fit for the Purpose" by saving INR 15 crore in upsizing well artificial lift replacement
from Progressive cavity pump to Electrical submersible pump by avoiding major modification in existing
power distribution network. Got facilitated by the site management and inducted in site fit for the purpose
team formed afterwards.
✔ Appreciated by OEM and site management for improving reliability above 96% of variable frequency Drives
by identifying causes of premature failure. The various contributing factors including design defects,
commissioning, and operational improvements.
