Find: Specific volume, Relative Humidity, Humidity ratio, wet bulb temperature and enthalpy
2. Air at temperature of 33°C has a relative humidity of 51 percent. Determine (a) the wet bulb temperature,
(b) the dew point temperature, (c) the humidity ratio, (d) the enthalpy, and (e) the specific volume.

QUIZ 1

QUIZ 2
PSYCHROMETRIC CHART PLOTTING: Plot the given conditions. (50 points)
1. Given Conditions: dry bulb temperature 97°F and humidity ratio 0.007 lbv/lba
Find: Specific volume, Relative Humidity, dew point temperature, wet bulb temperature and enthalpy
2. Given Conditions: wet bulb temperature 25°C and relative humidity 55%
Find: Specific volume, dew point temperature, Humidity ratio, dry bulb temperature and enthalpy

PROBLEM SOLVING: Write your complete solution and draw the psychrometric process indicated in each of the
problem below. (50 points)

1. Atmospheric air at a flow rate of 3 kg per second enters a cooling and dehumidifying coil with a dry bulb
temperature 36°C and wet bulb temperature of 27°C and leaves at dew point temperature 11°C and dry
bulb temperature of 22°C. Determine the mass of water vapor extracted in lb v/sec. and the required cooling
capacity of the coil in Kw and tons.
2. Moist air is heated and humidified by passing it first over a heating coil and then adding moisture. The
moist air enters the system at 40°F and 36°F wet bulb temperature at a rate of 235lb/min. and heated at
90°F and 40% RH. Determine the rate of heat addition in BTU/min and Hp by the heating coil and the rate
of moisture in kgv/sec.
