(Overview)
• If the driver performs an operation (such as depressing accelerator pedal) to start
driving while the vehicle is stopped by the auto hold function, and the DSC HU/CM
determines the possibility of the start of driving, the brake fluid pressure being held is
decreased.
EC
• To reduce the sense of drag during start of driving, the time in which pressure
reduction is performed fluctuates according to the longitudinal-G signal from the SAS
U
control module (incline angle) and the amount of accelerator pedal depression.
• Large inclination angle: Lengthens pressure reduction time comparing to flat
PR
road surface
• Large accelerator depression amount: Shortens pressure reduction time
O
(Operation conditions)
All of the following conditions are met (AND conditions)
• Vehicle is put in gear (forward or reverse), accelerator pedal is depressed at
specified value or more, and drive torque necessary for start of driving is
generated

⚫ Two mirrors are used inside the unit. These mirrors are mainly used for
enlarging images displayed by the indicator.
⚫ Images displayed by the indicator are flipped vertically. This is because
EC
the mirror reflection is done twice in the unit and the image finally
projected (reflected) to the glass is displayed correctly from top to bottom.
U
⚫ The greater the distance between the indicator and the mirror, the larger
the image size displayed on the windshield glass. Supposing that only one
PR
mirror is used to show images at a longer distance from the indicator, the
active driving display unit would have to be bigger. Thus, by using two
O
mirrors, the size of the main unit is kept to the minimum while showing the
images at a longer distance.
Body & Accessories Active Driving Display
ADD unit
⚫ The principle behind the larger image size is the same as the effect of a
projector used in a place such as a meeting room where the size of a
displayed image is projected even larger the longer the distance between
the projector and the wall against which the image is projected.
