Chapter 4

This chapter provides the presentation of date relative to the problems posted in the

SOP, the corresponding analysis and interpretation of data are incorporated in this portion of

the study

Perception of student on the ways to prevent early pregnancy

Participant 1

tapos ang sitwasyon mo as may early pregnancy. Kabudlayan pagid kung single mom ka kag

ikaw ang isa gadipara sa bata mo. May ara man ga bulig ginikanan mo. Kay kabudlay gid ya nga

ikaw lang gyapon isa. (Teenage pregnancy can be avoided. It's hard when you're a single mom

and you're the one taking care of your child. there is also help from your parents. because it's

really hard to be alone.)

Participant 2

(The teenage pregnancy is really hard. before you go

into something like that, be careful because you can't turn back time).

Participant 3

bala sang imo parents wala man na guro malain. (It depends. Teenage pregnancy is not good

considering that you’re just a child yet you are already pregnant. But personally, I never

regretted it. However, there is nothing wrong if your parents are being strict with you.)

Participant 4

(What i can say about teenage pregnancy is that

it depends on the students or persons involved because they have their own choice, right? if

they don’t want to get pregnant, then they must never be involved in teenage pregnancy)

Final theme: think before you act, hardship is part of life

Factors that influences student to engaged in early pregnancy

Participant 1

Tapos kis’a gusto may ara

gid gusto man nila magbata biskan bata pa sila.) (there are those with family problems. and

there are others that inspite their age, they wanted to get pregnant)

Participant 2

Family problem daw amo man lang na nabal an ko. (I think family problem have something to

do with it, that’s all I know)

Participant 3

nila didto sila comfortable daw something amo na nga gina tawag (I think family problem and

depression have something to do with this. There are those who never felt cared by their

family, hence they commit to other people they feel comfortable with.)

Participant 4

Sa ano siguro ih sa wala natun-an or wala natudlo sa ila kung ano ang mga resulta kag

consequences sa mga amo na (I think for those illiterate or those who were never taught the

result and consequences of teenage pregnancy)

Final theme: family problem kill your happiness that’s the reality nobody can get away with

easily.

Prevention of student in early pregnancy

Participant 1

(You can avoid teenage

pregnancy by controlling yourself. Sex education can be helpful in giving advice about what to

do and to never involve in teenage pregnancy like what others did).

Participant 2

May

gina tudlo man nga sex education para mabal an man bala sang mga bata ang sex education.

(It

depends on her if she really wanted it. They were being taught about sex education so that they

will know the right thing to do).

Participant 3

Matun-an mo gid ya nga makalikaw. (You can prevent that if you

have strict parents guiding you. Sex education can help you to be aware so that you can avoid,

knowing the consequences).

Participant 4

Chapter 5

This chapter present the summary and conclusion derived in the conduct of the study

which is to prove that Sex Education is one of the ways to lessen the rate of teenage pregnancy

in senior high school student of Raymundo T. Tongson National High School. It also provides

recommendation that can be pursued and helpful to the respondent, future researcher and

most specially to the faculty and staff of Raymundo T. Tongson National Highschool.

Recommended also achieve the things that they might know in order to create solution in the

certain problem of early teenage pregnancy

This study was conducted at Raymundo T. Tongson National High School. The

respondents were the 4 Senior High School student. They were selected using purposive

sampling. It employed Qualitative Research and utilized a research made questionnaire a semi-

structured with an open ended question.

According to the students' perceptions of ways to avoid early pregnancy, the majority of

them believe that if they know how to control themselves when engaging in sexual activities,

they can avoid early pregnancy, and they also believe that having strict parents has a positive

impact because they believe that whatever the parents do is always for their own good.

2. what are the factors that lead students to teenage pregnancy?

According to the data we have gathered, family issues and lack of awareness were the

main causes of teenage pregnancy among students.

3. how student prevent early pregnancy?

According to the data gathered, avoiding an early pregnancy requires self-control and

participation in sex education. Thus, sexual education informs students about appropriate and

inappropriate behavior.

Recommendation

Students

Since Sex education is high-quality teaching and learning on a wide range of sex and

sexuality subjects. It investigates values and ideas regarding those themes and assists people in

developing the skills needed to negotiate relationships with oneself, others, and community, as

well as manage one's own sexual health. Sex education can take place in schools, homes,

communities, or online.

The students must therefore accept these concepts in order for them to have the knowledge

necessary for them to make the best choice before engaging in sexual activity. The students are

required to engage in symposiums or orientations regarding teenage pregnancy as well as join

campaigns or advocacy groups that encourage preventing teenage pregnancy.

Always keep in mind that every action has a corresponding or opposing reaction.

Parents

According to the findings, parents play a significant role in students engaging in teenage

pregnancy and are one of the causes of it. It was mentioned in chapter 4 that family issues were

a contributing factor in their decision to become pregnant while still in their teen years. As a

result, we advise that no matter what difficulties they may face, communication is essential. We

also urge that they be shown the love they are seeking and assured that they have family

members with whom they can open up about their problems and who will love them

unconditionally.

School administrations

To the school administrations who develop students to be holistic, be a change agent,

an example, and an agent of hope, embrace students' differences, let them feel like they have

family even while they are in school, and create a program that could educate them about sex

education, let them realize that being a teenage mother is not easy, be a voice, a reflector, and

be a home for them so that they will realize how precious they are.

Community

To the community, be a good example because students look at the people in their

community, your actions matter, let them realize what is in the real world, what the

consequences of having a child/children at a young age, be a reflection, be a way to avoid

teenage pregnancy, do some activities that they can enjoy, and create programs that can

educate them about sex education. You are their mirror, their followers, and your community

has a significant impact on the students' development by allowing them to be fruitful, as well as

being their guide. Create activities that will keep them from indulging in sexual behaviour.

Researcher

To the researcher, if sex education helps to reduce or prevent teenage pregnancies,

then it would be useful to bring it to the general public or within the community for awareness

and be beneficial to everybody. Since the study's issue is so delicate and pertinent to current

events, it will serve as the foundation for programs that properly introduce sex education.

Future Researcher

This study may serve as a baseline or reference for future research connected to this

subject for future researchers. It is important, genuine, and trustworthy study that will serve as

your guide, source of information, and foundation as you perform research in the future.

Conclusion

Sex education is curbing for preventing the health and educational problems that young

people face, including teen pregnancy. Schools are the best venue to offer sex education

programs because parents cannot talk to their teens about sex.

As a result of the study's findings, sex education has a major impact on preventing

teenage pregnancy. It provides information and ideas on what to remember when engaging in

sexual activities. However, if there is no delivery of learning about sex, then sex education will

be ineffective. As a result of our study, we concluded that there are reasons why certain

teenagers experience teenage pregnancy, either by choice or due to a family problem.

These reasons may be genuine, but they can be stopped or minimized if they can

educate themselves about sex education. In conclusion, sex education must be implemented

and included in the curriculum not for sexual reasons, but for educational goals and the benefit

of the students in order to keep them away from the thought of adolescent pregnancy.
