Welcome to the Health 7 Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) Module 3 Ways
to Prevent and Control Non-communicable Diseases.
Health is wealth. This common saying holds a lot of weight because it has
truth behind it but what exactly is non-communicable disease prevention and how
can you prevent those diseases from happening? In order to live life to the fullest
there are some ways to prevent and control them.
As a grade 7 student, you have to know and understand the different ways to
prevent and control non-communicable diseases to ensure that you are on top of
your health.
In this module, you are guided with a set of learning icons that will help you
understand and practice the ways to prevent and control non-communicable
diseases.

What I Need to Know This will give you an idea of the skills or
competencies you are expected to learn in the
module.

What I Know This part includes an activity that aims to check


what you already know about the lesson to take.
If you get all the answers correct (100%), you
may decide to skip this module.

What’s In This is a brief drill or review to help you link the

What’s New In this portion, the new lesson will be introduced

What is It This section provides a brief discussion of the


lesson. This aims to help you discover and

to solidify your understanding and skills of the

module.

Assessment This is a task which aims to evaluate your level of


mastery in achieving the learning competency.

Additional Activities In this portion, another activity will be given to


you to enrich your knowledge or skill of the
lesson learned. This also tends retention of
learned concepts.
