Reading part 2

Test 1

1. If you are visiting our school for the first time, please follow these
instructions.
2. Then give your name and show your ID to the receptionist.
3. Before you leave, please return the card to reception.
4. You must wear it somewhere visible at all times.
5. Then he or she will give you a visitor identity card.
6. When you arrive, follow the signs to reception.

Test 2

1. My first day at work didn’t go as planned.


2. When I got to the office building, the lift was out of order.
3. While I was walking up them, I fell and twisted my ankle.
4. I finally arrived at the office red-faced, sweating and limping. Not a
great first day
5. My alarm clock didn’t ring, so I didn’t even have time for a shower.
6. So I decided to take the stairs.

Test 3

1. The English trifle is a typical dessert that’s been popular for more
than 400 years.

2. Then cover this with a layer of strawberries and pour the liquid jelly
on top. Put it in the fridge so that it sets and solidifies.

3. You’ll need some sponge fingers, strawberries, jelly, cream and


custard.
4. The only thing left to do is to decorate it however you wish. Maybe
with more fresh fruit or toasted almonds?
5. Once it’s solid, add the custard and pour the cream on top.

6. First place an even layer of sponge fingers on the bottom of the bowl.

• The last day of school was filled with excitement and fear.

• Kay entered the doctors’ clinic


• Finally, Kay went into the room where the doctor was waiting
• She then told the receptionist her name and the time of the appointment
• The receptionist gave Kay a ticket number and told her to sit down and
wait number was called.
• The receptionist called out Kay's number
• She then told the receptionist that she had arrived
• Ready, Set, Go! The race is under way. It looks like Sandra Love is in the
lead and there seems to be a fight for second and third place.
• The next day, the doctors said she has a fractured toe, and will be unable to
run for the rest of the season.
• She collapses to the ground. It looks like the paramedics are rushing out to
the track.
• Three laps to go. Oh no, Love has seemed to be slowing down.
• It looks like she may have a serious injury.
• Let's see the replay. She comes around and grabs her leg, and down she
goes.
• I don't think she'll be able to run in the next race.
• Love seems to be unstoppable today. The rest of the runners are fighting to
keep up.
