Antenna Combining Options
By-Pass Combining (Coverage)
• Does not use any combiners and uses only the Duplexer. Useful in rural and suburban areas where
coverage is needed.

2-way Wideband Combining (Capacity)

• Wideband, less efficient combining. Reduces the number of needed antennas but introduces about a 3 dB
loss in the transmit power. Useful as a combination of capacity and coverage for urban and suburban
areas

4-way Wideband Combining (Capacity)

• 2-way combining in series for 4-way wideband combining. Reduces the number of antennas even more
but also introduces about a 6 dB loss in the transmit power. Supports both RF Frequency Hopping as well
as BB Frequency Hopping. Useful with large multiple cabinet configurations in urban areas.

Remote Tune Combining (Capacity)

• Efficient, tuned 6-way combining with built-in duplexer and LNA. Disadvantage of supporting only BB
Frequency Hopping and not RF Frequency Hopping. However, good combination of coverage and
capacity useful in urban and suburban areas. Introduces a small loss in the transmit power compared with
Wideband Combining.

Triple Wideband Combiner (WCxT)

• With 2-way Wideband Combining, the WCxT unit uses one block (A, B, or C) to
combine the transmit (TX) signals from two Transceiver (TSxx) units and feeds
the combined signal to the antenna through the TX port of the Dual Variable
Gain Duplex Filter (DVxx) unit4-way combining of TX signals from 4 TRX´s to
one antenna is made using WCxA´s in series
• With 4-way Wideband Combining, the WCxT unit uses all three blocks (A, B,
and C) to combine the TX signals from four TSxx units in the following manner.
The first block combines the TX signals from two of the four TSxx units. The
second block combines the TX signals from the other two TSxx units. The third
block combines the two combined signals and feeds the combined signal to the
antenna through the TX port of the DVxx unit

•WCGT (GSM/EDGE 800/900) 869 to 960 MHz

•WCDT (GSM/EDGE 1800) 1805 to 1880 MHz

Outdoor cabinet options
• Entry Kit (OEKA)
The Entry Kit is used for cable routing in Outdoor cabinets. Entry Kit protects
UltraSite cabinet interior by sealing the cable inlets.
At least one kit is needed / cabinet group.
Additional Entry kits are beneficial when 24 holes for the cabling is not enough, or it
is difficult to route the cables between the adjacent cabinets through the Bridge.
• 468091A OEKA, Entry Kit

• Bridge Kit (OBKA, OBKB)

Bridge Kit can be used between side-by-side installed cabinets. It is a more cost
efficient choice for routing cables than using the Entry Kits in separate cabinets.
OBKA is used between UltraSite Standard or Midi cabinets, and OBKB is used
between Midi and CityTalk cabinets.
• 468094A OBKA, Bridge Kit
• 469372A OBKB, Midi to Talk bridge
There must be at least one Entry or Bridge / cabinet (Exception with OAKB co-site
kit).
