I. Purpose/s The Freshies Walk during the opening of classes was designed with
the paramount purpose of seamlessly integrating incoming students
into the academic and social fabric of the institution. This dynamic
event aimed to foster a sense of community and belonging by
providing comprehensive orientation, encouraging interaction among
diverse peers, and instilling a deep connection to the school's history
and values. Additionally, the Freshies Walk served as a platform for
disseminating essential information, motivating students for the
academic year ahead, and creating a vibrant atmosphere that
celebrated their achievements. The event was a strategic initiative to
empower students, promote a positive mindset, and contribute to the
overall success of their educational journey within the institution.
II. Activity/ The Freshies Walk was held last September 11, 2023 in the ISPSC-
Discussion Main Campus Gymnasium after the flag raising ceremony. The
Highlights participants arrived at 8:00am and started at exactly 8:30am.

In the BSCS department, incoming first year students are welcomed

through a picture booth initiated by students organizations and
faculty members.

III. Way Freshies Walk lies in its pivotal role as a unifying and transformative
Forward/ event during the opening of classes. It serves as a crucial mechanism
Significance of for integrating incoming students into the school community,
the Activity to fostering a sense of belonging, and facilitating a smooth transition
the College into their academic journey. By providing a comprehensive
orientation, promoting interactions among diverse peers, and
instilling a connection to the institution's values, the Freshies Walk
establishes a foundation for a positive and inclusive campus culture.
Furthermore, the event serves as a platform for information
dissemination, motivating students for the academic challenges
ahead, and creating an atmosphere of celebration and pride. The
Freshies Walk is not just a ceremonial tradition; it is a purposeful
initiative that contributes significantly to the holistic development
and successful integration of new students into the educational
institution.
