1 Verify barrier type i.e zener or galvanic: ………………………

2 Ensure that device/equipment is suitable for use in an IS system.
3 Visually ensure that the device is earthed in accordance with project /manufacturers
specification
4 Verify that the device / equipment is installed in accordance with the loop sheet
5 Check that the devices are correctly mounted, labelled and segregated from non-IS
sourcesaccording to project /manufacturers specification
6 Check that the cable connecting the earth bars are the correct size and not damaged

7 Check that the barrier is located to provide good access for maintenance
8 Confirm that there is adequate segregation between terminals
9 Check the segregation of IS and non-IS wiring in the panel
10 Check all screens and unused cores are made off and earthed according to the loop
drawings and design requirements
11 Check all equipment is correctly labelled, undamaged and there are no unauthorised
modifications
12 List all devices in loop and record Ex classification,certifying authority ,and certificate
