MODULE REVIEW

MODULE REVIEW GUIDANCE

Please read this document carefully.
The designated supervisor and trainee will be required to undertake a ‘Module Review’ once the trainee has
completed all the module sections (including all associated activities and reading) and been signed off by the
designated supervisor on all the performance standards associated with that module.
The Module Review must be completed before the trainee can progress onto the Module eTest assessment.

To request the Module Review, the trainee will:

• Select the appropriate Module eTest portal tile (e.g. Core knowledge eTest)
• Complete the activity titled ‘Module Review’ on the course launch page.
This will send the Module Review request from the trainee via the portal to the designated supervisor’s account.
Before sending the review request, the trainee should ensure that they have completed all the required Module
elements and are ready for the review.
Upon receiving the trainee’s request for a Module Review, the designated supervisor will identify a suitable time to
meet with the trainee to review their progress throughout the module.

Prior to the Module Review:

The designated supervisor and trainee should download and read the Module eTest assessment guidance (this can
be accessed from the course launch page in Programme overview).

During the Module Review:

• The designated supervisor will confirm that all activities and performance standards for the module have
been completed to the required standard by the trainee
• The designated supervisor and trainee will reflect on the trainee’s progress throughout the module,
including signing off on any generic GPhC learning outcomes at the relevant level for all pharmacy support
staff and identifying aspects that went well, areas for improvement or aspects that could be done differently
• If the designated supervisor and trainee are confident that the trainee has acquired the ability and
knowledge to sit the module eTest assessment, they will review the Module eTest assessment guidance and
agree a suitable date, time and place for the eTest assessment to occur
• The trainee will then request the Module eTest assessment via the PSC portal by completing the practical
activity titled ‘Request eTest assessment’. The trainee will not be able to see or access the Module eTest on
their portal until the designated supervisor has approved their request
• If either the designated supervisor or trainee determine that the trainee requires more time to review their
knowledge prior to sitting the module eTest assessment, the designated supervisor should agree what
additional support they will provide the trainee with.
