READING REPORT in GABRIELIAN PHILOSOPHY

Date: DEC 12, 2023
The title of the book or journal article I have read is: Understanding philosophy by
Michael Hannon
AUTHOR'S LOGIC:
Philosophers find themselves entangled in a web of contradiction, with metaphysicians, ethicists, and
aestheticians vehemently disagreeing on fundamental questions. The elusive nature of philosophical
truths is apparent, as expert opinions are scattered across incompatible options. Despite the academic
structure of philosophy, which mirrors other disciplines, the persistence of age-old questions and the
disregard for the correctness of philosophical views in academic appointments raise unsettling questions
about the discipline's efficacy in settling controversies and achieving its purported goals.
STUDENT'S LOGIC:
As nursing students, we navigate through a myriad of philosophical perspectives, akin to the divergent
views among metaphysicians, ethicists, and aestheticians in the philosophical realm. Much like the
debates within our own field about the essence of patient care and ethical considerations, philosophers
grapple with conflicting notions surrounding free will, moral rightness, and artistic merit. It's intriguing
to reflect on the parallels between the questioning nature of our discipline and the ongoing philosophical
debates, raising essential queries about the reliability of our approaches and the persistent pursuit of
answers in both nursing and philosophy.

VISION: MAN OF GOD-VIR ENIM DEI. "A leading transformational leadership institution with a
unique GabrielIan Culture of Discipline. Socially Responsible, Interdependent, Functionally Productive,
Godly Individuals and reaching the marginalized to thrive in the global community. In aligning to the
Vision and Mission of the College, I can apply what I have learned from my readings by: Example:
Beling more aware about eco-friendly practices you can adopt at home so that we can make a positive
dite as socially responsible graduates.
I find inspiration in the vision of our institution, envisioning ourselves not only as healthcare
professionals but also as compassionate individuals with a GabrielIan Culture of Discipline. This
transformative leadership model, emphasizing social responsibility and interdependence, motivates me
to apply my nursing knowledge beyond clinical settings. For instance, I can contribute to the vision by
promoting eco-friendly practices in our community, aligning with our commitment to being socially
responsible graduates and advocates for a thriving global community.

Date: DEC 19, 2023
The title of the book or journal article I have read is: The Problem with Advice
June, 2016
AUTHOR'S LOGIC:
Balancing acts define our journey through life—whether it's navigating healthy eating habits,
responsible financial choices, or philosophical musings on the complexities of existence. Calibration, the
delicate art of finding equilibrium between extremes, poses a dual challenge of recognizing our current
balance and determining how to realign ourselves. In a world where advice often points in one direction,
acknowledging the individuality of calibration becomes crucial, pushing us to explore various points on
the curve to better understand our unique path to a more harmonious life.
STUDENT'S LOGIC:
In college, life is a constant juggle between maintaining a balanced diet, making smart financial
decisions, and pondering the profound questions of existence. Finding that delicate equilibrium, or
calibration, involves recognizing where I currently stand and figuring out how to readjust. As a student
navigating this dynamic journey, it's essential to embrace the uniqueness of my own calibration, pushing
me to experiment with different approaches and discover what truly aligns with my personal path to a
more harmonious and fulfilling life.

I am inspired by our institution's vision to cultivate transformational leaders within a distinctive

GabrielIan Culture of Discipline. Striving to be socially responsible, interdependent, and functionally
productive individuals aligns with my commitment to contributing positively to the global community.
Applying the lessons from my readings, I actively embrace eco-friendly practices at home, embodying
the values of our vision and mission to create a more sustainable and socially responsible future.

READING REPORT in TFN

Date: JAN 10 2024
The title of the book or journal article I have read is: The Problem with Advice
June, 2016
AUTHOR'S LOGIC:
As an AUTHOR, I recently explored the significance of the Movement Competency Screen (MCS) in
predicting performance and preventing injuries among female and male military academy recruits. The
study emphasizes the need for a screening tool in the military to identify recruits requiring remedial
training, showcasing the MCS's ability to pinpoint poor movement patterns and suggest safe load levels.
The research underscores the potential of the MCS to guide personalized training, reducing injuries and
enhancing physical readiness, with a call for further exploration in a broader military population beyond
the academy.
STUDENT'S LOGIC:
Having delved into the research on the Movement Competency Screen, I recognize the crucial role of
predictive tools in ensuring the physical readiness of military recruits. As a student, this study prompts
me to appreciate the value of early identification of poor movement patterns through the MCS and the
subsequent implementation of tailored training programs. Applying these insights, I aim to be proactive
in assessing and improving my own movement competency, contributing to a safer and more effective
training environment.

Aligned with the transformative leadership institution's vision, my research on the Movement
Competency Screen emphasizes the importance of disciplined and socially responsible practices in the
military. By advocating for the use of predictive tools like the MCS, I aspire to contribute to the creation
of a more functionally productive and godly military community. The application of this knowledge
aligns with the institution's vision, promoting individual well-being and reaching marginalized
individuals within the global community.
