III. PROCEDURE
Teacher’s Activity Pupils’ Activity
A. Preparatory Activities

1) Daily Routine
a) Prayer
Before we start let us pray!

b) Greetings
Good Morning Class! Good Morning Teacher!

c) Classroom Management
So kindly read Louie our classroom
rules.

✓ Create a quiet and comfortable study

space
✓ Be on time
✓ Come prepared
✓ Mute your microphone
✓ Use chatbox to answer
✓ Pay attention
✓ Be respectful

d) Checking of Attendance
Is there any absent for today? None Teacher!

Okay very good!

2) Review
Okay! before we proceed to our
lesson, let’s have a recap from what
we have discussed last meeting. It is about Visualizing Multiplication of
Numbers 1 to 10 Teacher!
Anthonette, What was our lesson last
meeting?

Very Good!

B. Developmental Activities Yes Teacher!

1) Motivation
Did you have your breakfast?

Okay Good. Okay Teacher.

So before we start our lesson, We will have
some activity.

A. Direction: Find the product by

writing the corresponding
repeated addition sentence.
1. 6 + 6 +6 +6 = 24
1. 6 x 4 =

2. 7 + 7 + 7 + 7 = 28
2. 7 x 4 =

3. 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 48
3. 8 x 6 =

4. 9 x 5 = 4. 9 + 9 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 45

5. 7 x 7 = 5. 7 + 7 + 7 + 7 + 7 + 7 + 7 = 49

B. Direction: Visualize multiplication

of numbers using sticks or discs
then write the product in the
blank.

1. 5x7=

1. 5 x 7 = 35

2. 3x8=
2. 3 x 8 = 24
3.
7x2=

3. 7 x 2 = 14
4. 2x9=

5.
4. 2 x 9 = 18
5x6=

So, base on what you observed, what 5. 5 x 6 = 30

do you think our lesson today?

Okay Let’s See.

2) Presentation Of The Lesson

• Multiplication is one of the four
elementary mathematical operations.
The multiplicand of whole numbers I think its Stating Basic Multiplication Facts
may be thought of as a repeated Teacher.
addition
• Multiplier tells the number of times a
number is to be added or the number
of groups.
• Multiplicand is the number to be
added or the number of elements in a
set.
• Product is the result of multiplication.

3) Discussion of the Lesson Proper

Multiplicand 3 X 6 = 18 Product

Multiplier

3 X 6 = 18 is also be called a multiplication

fact.This process 3 X 6 = 18 is multiplication
process The symbol or sign ‘x’ is the sign of
multiplication
REMEMBER!
➢ The symbol or sign ‘ + ’ is the sign of
Addition
➢ The symbol or sign ‘ – ’ is the sign of
Subtraction
➢ The symbol or sign ‘ x ‘ is the sign of
Multiplication
➢ The symbol or sign ‘ ÷ ‘ is the sign of
Division

A. Zero Property of
Multiplication Any number
multiplied by zero is zero.
B. Identity Property of Multiplication
Any number multiplied by one is the
number itself.
C. Multiplication is a repeated addition
Example: 6 X 4 = ?
To get the product of 6 X 4, follow
the steps:

Step 1: Interpret the phrase 6 X 4 into

Groupings. 6 X 4 means “4 groups
of6”

Step 2 : Visualize the groupings

Step 3 : Interpret the visualization into
a repeated addition.
6 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 24
Step 4 : State the multiplication fact.
6 X 4 = 24

D. Commutative Property of
Multiplication states that when
multiplicand and multiplier is
interchanged, there will be the same
product.

“3 groups of 8” is equal to “8 groups of 3”

E. When a number is multiplied by 10,
the product is found by writing a zero
after the number.
Example :
2 X 10 = 20
10 X 6 = 60
10 X 4 = 40
10 X 10 = 100

Let’s Try
1. 3 X 10 = ?
2. 7 X 10 = ?
3. 1 X 10 = ?
4. 9 X 10 = ?
5. 2 X 10 = ?

4) Generalization
What I Have Learned
1. Zero Property of Multiplication
Any number multiplied by zero is
zero. 1 X 0 = 0
2. Identity Property of
Multiplication
Any number multiplied by one is the
number itself. 5 X 1 = 5
3. Multiplication is a repeated
addition.
2 X 3 = 6, 2 + 2 + 2 = 6
4. Commutative Property of
Multiplication
states that when multiplicand and
multiplier is interchanged , there will
be the same product. 4 X 5 = 20, 5 X 4
= 20
5. When a number is multiplied by 10,
the product is found by writing a zero 1. 3 X 10 = 30
after the number. 2. 7 X 10 = 70
2 X 10 = 20 3. 1 X 10 = 10
4. 9 X 10 = 90
5) Analysis 5. 2 X 10 = 20
