Our topic this afternoon is on comparing and contrasting same topic in
different multimodal texts. (PAUSE)
Let’s study first the meaning of the word MULTIMODAL. It is the
SLIDE 27 combination of the prefix multi-, meaning “many,” and modal, which is
the adjective form of the word mode, that means “a way of doing
something.” Multimodal means many form of doing something. It
requires the processing of more than one method and the recognition of
the interconnections between information.

Live multimodal text is shown through combinations of different modes
