1. Organization Summary of Youthpreneur Network
Youthpreneur Network is a Non-Governmental organization registered under Section 4(A) of the Youth
Organization (Registration and Management) Act, 2015 and Rule 3 (4) of the Youth Organization
(Registration and Management) Rules, 2016 of the Ministry of Youth & Sports, Government of Bangladesh.
Youthpreneur Network started its journey by National Space Carnival project in 2016 which is the largest
space event in the history of Bangladesh. Since its establishment, the organization has been working
selflessly with success in the service of the country and the people. Although the beginning of its work was
education-centric, the scope of its work is wide today. We are working hard to eradicate hunger, eradicate
poverty, ensure quality education and ensure good health.

Youthpreneur Network's areas of work

1) Education & Youth Program 5) Climate Change Program
2) Health & Nutrition Program 6) Disaster Risk Reduction Program
3) Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) Program 7) Economic Empowerment Program
4) Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) 8) Social Enterprises
Program

Since its inception, the organization has been working selflessly and successfully in the service of the country
and the people. Although the beginning of its work was centered on education and youth training, today the
scope of its work is wide. We are working hard to eradicate hunger, eradicate poverty, ensure quality
education, and ensure good health.
Since independence, the government of Bangladesh has been working to solve all the problems of the
country. But it is not possible for the government alone to solve all the problems and lead this country on
the path of development. The government, as well as various non-governmental organizations, are working
for the development of the people of the country. Youthpreneur Network is one of the organizations that
are working for the development of Bangladesh. The main goal of this organization is to transform
Bangladesh into a developed country by achieving the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) adopted by the
United Nations.

From the 17 goals of the SDG, the Youthpreneur Network is working on the following objectives:
1. No Poverty 6. Clean Water and Sanitation
2. Zero Hunger 7. Decent Work and Economic Growth
3. Good Health and Well-being 8. Reduced Inequality
4. Quality Education 9. Responsible Consumption and Production
5. Gender Equality 10. Partnerships to achieve the Goal

Our goal is to take the country forward on the path of development and prosperity by achieving SDG by
2030. It is not possible to solve all the problems of the country in a day. This requires a precise long-term
plan and its implementation. Our Youthpreneur network has big plans to work towards achieving the SDGs
in coordination with the government and all national and international organizations.
We have a large number of volunteers and employees of our organization to implement this plan.
Everyone living in this country is a part of our own existence. Our goal is to give that opportunity to the
deprived part of that existence to come forward. In the end, there is only one thing we want: to move
forward with a prosperous and happy Bangladesh.
Achievement

- Youthpreneur Network has received the 'Bangladesh Digital Social Innovation Award 2021' for our
Menstrual Hygiene Management Program 'Mukti' in the Volunteer Leadership category on 25 June,
2021. Recently, our president also has been nominated for Global Peace & Humanitarian Award 2021
for our Menstrual Hygiene Management Program.

2. Organization Summary of Environment Watch: BUET
21st century claims environment to be most existential crisis prone entity which simultaneously questioned
the existence of human beings; with the motto of “Save Environment, Save Us”, ecology and environment
enthusiasts engineers of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology paved the path to form
together to create awareness as well as accomplishing favorable impacts for the environment by
inaugurating “Environment Watch: BUET” under moderation of Dr. Shamim Ara, Professor, Department of
Architecture, BUET and guidance of Dr. Tanvir Ahmed, Professor, Civil Engineering, BUET. But the present
moderator is Dr. Md. Mafizur Rahman, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, BUET.

From the very beginning of this movement the club not only enticed environmental problems but also
initiated a platform for open discussions where upcoming engineers may include their perspective on how
to defend this global crisis. For that very reason one day in every week there is a weekly meeting among club
members and operates many activities in regular intervals like Environment games, poster presentation,
seminar, photography exhibition, case competition, environment Olympiad, tree hunt etc. From the time of
the first President from ‘09 batch, Mahamudul Hasan Suman, till now, under the current President Nishat
Anan Raisa, the club has conducted many festivals. “1st National Environment Challenge” was the first
success of this club with hundreds of participants competing in different segments stated above for the sake
of amplifying and broadening their conscience regarding complex relationships with environment and lives.
This annual competition got huge responses in the following years before pandemics and 3rd National
Environment Challenge is regarded as a remarkable landmark in the history of this club and not only
environmental engineers but also engineers from every sphere acknowledged the fact that “Save
Environment, Save Us.”

In the pandemic days, the club organized different webinars and case competitions online and was not
stagnant for a single moment with a skilled executive committee panel. Along with Md. Mahfizur Rahman,
Professor, Civil Engineering Department, BUET another mastermind Dr. Tanvir Ahmed, Professor, Civil
Engineering Department BUET, PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA in 2011) provided
ample suggestions and guidance to operate the club's activities.

After third wave of Covid’19 when Bangladesh Government permitted to reopen educational institutions,
within a passage of a few months Environment Watch BUET: EWB has organized Climate Game featuring
‘Amir Hamza, Environment Activist’ with his team where around hundred BUET under-graduating students
participated and through games climate’s phenomenon were comprehended and risk factors were analyzed.
The club is looking forward to conducting upcoming events planned and for a sustainable environment, the
club is willing to launch any possible programs considering complex correlation between nature and livings
as most significant function for the existence of lives.

4. Introduction of National Environment Carnival
National Environment Carnival is the largest environment based event in the history of Bangladesh. We are
arranging this carnival focusing on certain goals or objectives. The main goal of this carnival to encourage
our students to learn about our nature and to increase awareness about environment pollution among
everyone.

Environment is everything that is around us, which includes both living and nonliving things such as soil,
water, animals and plants, which adapt themselves to their surroundings. It is nature’s gift that helps in
nourishing life on the earth. Environment plays an important role in healthy living and the existence of life
on planet earth. Earth is a home for different living species and we all are dependent on the environment
for food, air, water, and other needs.

Therefore, it is important for every individual to save and protect our environment. In this era, the natural
world is under threat. Different species of Flora and Fauna are on the verge of extinction, the air we breathe,
the water we drink, the food we eat – everything is polluted or has contaminants. For protecting our mother
nature, we need proper knowledge of environmental education. Environmental Education imparts
knowledge about the current situation and future prospects of nature. It teaches people to explore all the
problems related to environment, and engage in wise ways of preserving it. We believe that education is the
only way to make the best minds work productively. Though, environmental education is included in our
national curriculum, it is not enough to increase awareness among the mass students.

To make this environmental education more attractive and impactful, we need large scale educational
programs. That’s why, Youthpreneur Network came up with the idea of arranging this carnival with a view
to encouraging our students to learn about our nature and for increasing awareness about environment
pollution among everyone.

Many Students will study more to take participation in Olympiad, some of them will take part in ecofriendly
project making contest and all of them can gather knowledge about the nature by attending this grand event.
We are going to make a platform where students from all over Bangladesh can show their potential and
share their ideas. Sharing new ideas and showing new discoveries will help the students to understand nature
out of formal education. They will be given prizes through a competition which will encourage them to study
and work on environment with more attention and sincerity. Besides, this carnival will help the students to
learn to work on a scientific project as a team.
