National Science Day

Vigyan Yatra: Illuminating Minds through Science

OVERVIEW
"Vigyan Yatra" is a project designed to celebrate National Science Day by offering a unique
opportunity for underprivileged children to explore the wonders of space and science at the
esteemed Nehru Planetarium. This initiative seeks to inspire and ignite a passion for science
among these children, fostering a curiosity that transcends socio-economic barriers.

GOALS
1. To expose underprivileged children to the fascinating world of astronomy and science.
2. To encourage a keen interest in scientific exploration and learning.
3. To provide an inclusive and educational experience that transcends economic constraints.

SPECIFICATIONS
Date: 28th February

Venue: Nehru Planetarium, Mumbai

Number of Participants: 20-30

Age Group: 10-15 years

Educational Activities: Planetarium show, interactive workshops, and guided tours.

MILESTONES
The proposed milestones for the "Vigyan Yatra" project are strategically outlined to ensure the
seamless execution of our National Science Day celebration. Commencing with the crucial
milestone of project approval, we aim to secure the necessary permissions and endorsements to
proceed with our planned activities. Subsequently, sponsorship confirmation marks a pivotal step
in materializing our vision, allowing us to garner the financial support essential for the event's
success. Participant selection follows, emphasizing the careful curation of deserving
underprivileged children who will benefit from this educational experience. The actualization of
the event on the specified date stands as a significant milestone, embodying the culmination of
our collective efforts. Post-event evaluation serves as a reflective milestone, enabling us to gauge
the impact of "Vigyan Yatra" and refine our approach for future initiatives. Each milestone is
indispensable, contributing to the overall success of our endeavor to inspire and educate the
young minds we aim to reach.
