1. Blood - Blood circulates throughout the body and is made up of four elements, namely, the red
blood cells or erythrocytes, the white blood cells or leucocytes, blood platelets, and plasma.
2. Serology - Is a branch of science that deals with the determination of the type and
characteristics of blood.
3. Semen – A viscid whitish fluid of the male reproductive tract consisting of spermatozoa
suspended in secretion of accessory glands.
4. Aspermia – A condition wherein males have no spermatozoa at all in their seminal fluid
5. Oligospermia – A condition whereby males have abnormally low sperm counts or few
spermatozoa.
6. Florence Test – Crystals of choline per iodide which are dark brown, rhombic or needle shaped
that appear singly or in clusters.

in 1869.
13. . MICROSCOPIC TEST - This is used to distinguish between mammalian, avian, piscine, and
reptilian bond.
14. MICROCHEMICAL TEST - This is a method of analytical chemistry that is used to study small
samples of substances.
15. TEICHMANN TEST OR HEAMIN CRYSTAL TEST – small brown regular crystals with rhombic
termination of acid himation.
16. CETONE-HEMIN TEST -small and dark dichroic acicular crystals made of acetone.
17. Bloodstain pattern analysis - is used on a frequent basis to assist in the investigation of violent
crimes.
18. BLOOD EVIDENCE - Most well-known and significant evidence in modern criminal justice
system.
19. WET SPECIMEN - A drop or fluid is placed on a glass slide to which a few drops or distilled water
are added.
20. Semen - Refers to the body fluid produced by the male sex organ.
