‘’HOW FOSSIL FUEL ARE FORMED’’

As the decades go we have become even more in need of fossil fuel even if they can pollute

and harm the environment. Fossil fuel release carbon dioxide when they burn which add to the
greenhouse effect and increases global warming. The fossil fuel are one of the most important energy
sources for humans. Many of our technologies are based of fossil fuels. There are four different things
that must happen to an ancient living thing in order them to transform in to a fossil fuel we call these
conditions. First is the need for saturated environment that portion of a soil or an aquifer in which all
of the pore space is filled with water. Next is the need for an anaerobic environment it just
means that there is no oxygen arrived lots of living things need oxygen to survive we call this
aerobic environment however some living things like certain types of bacteria can live where
there is no oxygen this is called anaerobic environment. The third is the need for high pressure
is a force pushing down or against something. Last is the need for high temperature the earth is
very hot underground beneath the earth’s surface this is because the earth produces its own
heat. This means for our ancient living things to turn into fossil fuels they need saturated
environment , anaerobic conditions , lots of pressure and high temperatures.
