Description:
ENG 130 is designed for intermediate English Language learners preparing for college-level studies in English.
Students are exposed to the types of academic texts they encounter at the university and are equipped with
the necessary intermediate skills that enable them to deal with such texts in a pro-active manner.
Both productive and receptive skills are thematically paired in a content-based approach. ENG 130 targets
specific vocabulary and recycles academic skills in the framework of a very modern methodology. Essential
grammar functions are implicitly targeted throughout the lessons as well.

Main Learning Outcomes
