    Why Listening Skills
    Are Important
    Effective Listening

    Listening is a key component of communication.


    Without effective listening, communication can break
    down and affect productivity and work relationships.

    tendencies and habits when it
    comes to listening.

    Effective Listening
    A proficient listener should be
    able to comprehend the information
    being conveyed. That is, they can

    be able to analyze the information
    and make inferences and judgments.

    Passive Listening
    Active listening entails giving full
    attention to and focus on the speaker
    and comprehending the information the
    speaker is sharing.
